Yes there are no problems with bringing drinks and snacks into the parks

thanks. That surprises me as I am sure I read no outside picnics allowed in the parks but that tables were available right outside the parks?

I think you arent meant to take stuff in, but the bag check is so un-thorough you could take a picnic hamper as long as you put a serviette or two on the top so they cant see anything forbidden lying underneath.
