Watching the Coronation?

All hail Queen Camilla!!! :worship::worship::worship:

I love reading the comments on news stories on other sites. So many still have their panties twisted about Camilla.

How dare she be allowed to be Queen!!!

Elizabeth should have made William and Kate King and Queen!!!

Queen Homewrecker/Horseface/etc

And so on

I may watch a bit tomorrow but I have a feeling it will be drawn out and boring.
Don't blame me. I voted for Prince Valiant.

Who is the woman in the teal dress and hat? She has a prominent role, but I never happened to catch it if she was identified.

One of those velour robe things looked awfully familiar. I think Charles stole my Christmas tree skirt.

Anyone planning to watch the coronation on Saturday? I have to work night shift Friday and Saturday night so I'll be sleeping Saturday when it's on. I might be able to catch the beginning of it while I'm still at work. I'm going to record it and probably watch it Sunday when I wake up. I'm excited to see the outfits.
I got up after the crowning, so nope. Had to catch it on clips. Maybe I'll catch the next one...it shouldn't be too long a wait.... 😈

I posted earlier but it’s gone.

Enjoyed it . Watching all the bands and soldiers , the fly over that they weren’t sure they could do because of the weather. It really poured at time you could see their breathe.

Never watched all of the Queen‘s Coronation so was interesting . was wondering about the walls they put up but of course it was so he could change didn’t want to see that!

I watched on a Canadian channel . Loved their commentary.

The kids were so cute too!

edit: my daughter mentioned his hands to me and how puffy they were. We wondered if he would fit that glove.

I'm going to watch it later on this afternoon, as I said upthread. I admit to an intense interest in the British royal family when Charles and Diana got married. I was 13, and had only a vague knowledge that the UK had a royal family until they got engaged. I was enchanted by Diana and the whole fairytale aspect, which I realize now was pushed. I spent years in this interest.

I know now that it was decidedly *not* a fairytale, and my interest has waned, but I'm still fascinated enough to watch the weddings, funerals and now a coronation.

I have to work Saturday morning. So I will DVR it and fast forward through to the good stuff.
....that should take about 5 minutes....give or take. popcorn::
[Best part? Kate and William's kids - especially Louie]

...BTW, you are incorrect....he borrowed it from the Cowardly Lion:

Why were there two spare Camillas there?
They were what used to be called Ladies in Waiting, which I think they have a new title for. Queen Elizabeth had more of them, but hers also did the work of the Page Boys Camilla had carrying her train. They are there to help with anything she needs, like adjusting the heavy robe when she stood up and sat down. Both Charles and Camilla seemed to need a little help with that today.

They certainly were styled to look like Camilla though, weren’t they? At first glance, I wondered if they were security decoys.

In case anyone cares, Harry took the 3:45 pm flight from London on British Airways to Los Angeles. Expected arrival 7:30 pm, in time to get back home for the last few hours of Archie’s birthday.

First class, and private immigration and customs clearance upon arrival.

What time do 4 year olds go to bed in the US? As in, when are they usually falling asleep?

Thinking, lets take 30 minutes to go from gate to car, with the short cuts he has, from LAX to Montecito is about an 1.5 hour drive. So Harry was probably home home around 9.30pm.

Would Archie have been able to still be awake at that time, or would they wake him up to show him his father is home at a time where it still technically was his birthday?
