Hi!! Today is day 30 for me and I am down 19.8 pounds. I sooooo wanted to hit 20, but alas, not to be. My hubby is down 32 pounds!!!!! We're gonna keep it up until 60, and I might go a bit longer. Hubby will be at his goal by then, but I have longer to go.
Thanks so much for the inspiration! I watched the video last night on Netflix and ordered my juicer on Amazon straight away. It should be here in two days. Tonight I am going with my sister (we live together) to Costco and the grocery store to stock up on fruits and veggies. We are committed to 10 days to start. It feels less overwhelming than 30 or 60, but if all goes well, I know we would both keep it up.
I think more than anything we both want to kickstart our bodies, then focus on keeping them healthy and detoxed so we can be more active and maintain a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
Yes, I have weight to lose. And I would love some muscle definition again. But more important to me in the energy, the overall feeling of health and the transformation of the way I look at food. I want food to nourish me, not console, passify or entertain me.
Thanks again for the great story Bunkkinsmom, I am inspried!
Good morning!I weighed this am & I've lost 15 lbs!!
I feel like I've officially "hit a mark." Yippee!!
I forgot to mention in a previous post that I've been swimming 2000 feet, every other day. It's not quite .5 a mile. It's 50 laps in our pool, and I'd have to swim 66 laps to equal .5 a mile. I'm not sure I can go for that, but I'll try.Anyway, DH & I are walking about 2.5 miles & we are running 1 mile every night. Exercise has really put the weight loss on the fast track.
We are heading to the beach next week, and I don't think I'm quite ready for my new swimsuit.(I bought some that were too small because they were on sale AND I'm planning on fitting in them soon.)
We go to the beach again Labor Day weekend, and then again later in Sept. By the time I go in later Sept, I better have lost another 15 lbs, or I'll be frustrated with myself.
YAY!!!!! GREAT JOB!! Don't feel bad if you plateau, just plow through it. I plateaued where I only lost 5 pounds in 2 weeks, and now I've lost 5 pounds in the last 4 days. I think you're doing great!!!!!!
Been going now for a week! We are modified a bit due to some health concerns from the doc but so far so good! Juice twice a day and a sensible healthy dinner. Not purists by any means but we are already seeing the benefits (do we call the caffeine withdrawl headache a benefit? LOL). Will be weighing in this weekend sometime and now ready to add exercise to the routine!!!
