I go away for nine days and you change resorts?

Truthfully, I think you will be very happy you did. Everytime we got on the Ferry Boat last week and saw the beach at the Poly, I thought of you and how much you would hate seeing all that nonsense. It really is rather depressing if you ask me.

We've not stayed at AOA, but we have walked around and it is a terrifically themed resort. I think the kids are going to love it!

I am STILL trying to get the Dessert party. the lies about getting them 180 days out is NOT NICE!! I have been on my computer i even showed Tom how to do it when i am not around!!! still nothing..
I could go for the Illuminations dessert party.. BUT it isn't the castle.
I know i am a snob... I would really love wishes!!!

I didn't finish about Tuesday! Remember i said how Jen is coming a day later and leaving a day earlier???
i was able to make the party of 5 and then the party of 10 without a problem. I told Jen she needed to call to get whatever they wanted for the day they arrive! She had text me early asking how it went and i told her what we got. She said she was having LOTS of problems with trying to get hers!!!
Said she was going to call once she got into work..
then she called.. her ADR day was WEDNESDAY!!! where is that facepalm smilie?? :fp: <--- doesn't work.
I was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO LUCKY i was abl to make their Adrs!!! Didn't even dawn on me she was a day later!!!
Needless to say she did call back the next day and scored CP!!!
now that pesky DESSERT PARTY!!!

I did receive my park tickets and added them to my MDE! woooooo hooooooooooooooo!!!!

this is SOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH FUN!!!!


So i have NOT been home. I just go there to sleep..
Monday i worked both jobs.
Tuesday worked job 1 then had to go to a baseball meeting
Wednesday went to the Fisher House then job #2
Today. Work job #1 then off to baseball!
Tomorrow? Work then dog training.
Saturday? i have a VERY SPECIAL GUEST COMING!!! she will be working into a very dirty smelly house.. Sorry D and Josh.. I will see what i can get done to make it at least smell better!!! I will say Stevie is really excited to meet you!!!!
Needless to say i have NOT been home... i feel horrible about it.

Josh and I are headed up to pick up the Bug this morning... Then I have to grocery shop, then I have to come home and lift, then I have to work on some applique, then I have to pack, Gus is coming to take Alli out for dinner... Can't believe I get to see you tomorrow!

Will be texting you with our progress... We are planning to get on the road at about 8am... Bff will be here to stay with the girls tomorrow morning sometime... We plan to be in Chicago (hopefully) around 3-4pm.

I know! it was with a heavy heart to do it. something was just nagging at me about this.. horribly these were the first of the nightmares for me. In talking with everyone we finally came up with the idea.. i was more then apprehensive about switching. after watching SEVERAL you tube videos i felt better. the only problem i see now is the bad reviews on the food court..

it's been horrible. I woke up today NOT KNOWING what day it is.. becoming a blur. all one long day with a nap between.
I told Tom yesterday how much i am looking forward to relaxing Saturday night with Pizza Beer and great friends.

I will be running out of my house and tackling you!!! I am so excited to see you!!!! The Kids told me yesterday how excited to meet you. Zack's exact words were " i can't wait to have them come saturday" HA HA HA! Meg said " yeah i am soo excited to meet them!!! And stay in my room!" Ha ha ha.

It sounds like the Halloween Party may be the reason the ADRs aren't out for the Dessert Party for September. I know I ran into a similar problem trying to book ADRs at Epcot during the Christmas season. The Candelight Processional dates had not been released so the restaurants were not taking ADRs at the 180 day mark.

As for the food court at AOA, I think that's probably the same at all the values because they all have bays. When we were at AS Sports in February, we had a similar problem. It wasn't such a big deal with all adults but there was one time I was almost done eating my meal before some of the others made it to our table.

I agree with Connie, I think you need to climb in the trunk on Sunday and come on down for the Dis Meet on Monday!

When Dan and I took Selah to Disney and stayed at Pop, Dan got our meal (we share) and I went to the other bay with Selah for her meal. Worked out great! Probably not as easy with three I guess.

Hope you score the dessert party soon so you can breath a sigh of relief. Things are really coming together for your trip. What fun!!!!

ETA: I'm sure there's a pillow somewhere with "A Friend's House Never Smells" embroidered on it! If not, there should be!

Well where to start. I am so excited to see Grace's face when we get there. Especially when she sees her favorite princess Elsa in person. Just last night she said she would really like to meet Elsa in person. I asked her where would you do that. She came up to me and said very seriously "Disney, she is at Disney World". I knew then that we made the right decision to go. I also can't wait to see how Chris is going to be. I am so excited I wish the day was here already.

Alright lets get this past weekend in perspective!

SO Saturday i didn't have to work at Job #2 which meant. I ran through the house cleaning!!! It was passable.
about 2:00 i ran over to the library. I hadn't heard if anyone was going to be there so i ran there. I had D texting me to make sure i knew about the time she would be at the house.. i had time...
so i had thought.
Saturday is the BIG St. Pats parade and party downtown, like the color the Chicago river green. Mardi gras has nothing on Chicago during St. Patricks weekend.
So I figured she would be stuck in 1.) Ohare traffic 2) downtown traffic.
So i had ample time.. Then she text saying she was already on the skyway!
I GOTTA GO! So the kids and i left usually take me about 10 minutes to get home from the library.. There is a stinking TRAIN! this is NOT in my plans.. OK i turn around and now have to go about 15 minutes out of my way to get home. We are now going about 80.. around bridges and finally hit my neighborhood again going about 50 down sidestreets.
FINALLY we are in front of the house!! D and Josh are still in the:

PRETTY COOL EH?? I thought so..
My kids are SO EXCITED too meet D and Josh i run over give HUGE HUGS! It was So awesome to see her...
Get into the house where she is greeted by Logan Lex and Piper. who wouldn't even let them all the way into the house! the dogs were ecstatic! COMPANY!!!
The kids RUN upstairs to grab stevie.

the rest of the night was just us gibber gabbering!
I did try to make one of those drinks on Pintrest.. The snow white looks pretty and easy to make.

the next morning i Had Matt wake me up so i could have a cup of coffee with them before they went on their merry way!
Thankfully Chicago was behaving with the weather they got off with a great start.
It was a wonderful visit. Short yet it was great to see them again.

We were able to plan how we will fit everyone in on the EPIC DIS MEET Part 2!!!!

Next? a DISNEY UPDATE!

Phew! This is NOT easy!!!
Trying to keep this from the midgets is proving to be very difficult.
Meg just HAD to put on our home video's of past trips for D and Josh. Like everyone wants to watch those.. I have to tell you.. SHE LOVES DISNEY.
I was sitting on the couch checking things out. Rather then guess i again flat out asked. Do you want to do BBB. She said No. the hair is way too tight. OK
BUT MOMMY, I want my face painted.. like last time Huh?

So we can head over for our 11am Harmony barber shop and 12:30 Pirates League Meg will turn into a Mermaid!!!!
I might have to ask if i can fit into this Harmony barber shop again.. It was a lot of fun...

The sad part is i don't think they do the paint anymore. So might not.. who knows it's Disney!!!

Annnnd about your question. So I had the SAME issue last time with Chef Mickey, our ADR was at 7:10am!!!!!!

I didn't think of buses until we got there, and was told buses start running "around 6:30-6:45" so I just hoped and prayed I had enough time to get to MK then hop the monorail in time!

Well that AM we were at the bus at 6:30, and...... no bus, no bus, no bus..... come one... then WOOHOO!! A MK BUS!!! It was about 6:50! So don't go at 6:30, lol, wait for 6:45... we made it to MK about 7am, bc there is like NO traffic at that time, and then ran up to the monorail, and got on one about 7:05 and literally were walking up to CM at 7:10 on the dot!! It was AMAZING!!

So I think you should be able to make a 7:30 no problems!!! Do it!!

It sounds like you will have a fun day at MK. The buses in the morning can be spotty. Yes, they are supposed to start running between 6:30 and 7:00 am but I've waited as long as 7:15 am before the first one. Mom and I were doing an 8:00 am tour at AK and we were starting to panic a little because we were supposed to be there by 7:45 am. I'm thinking if you don't want to worry, just get a cab and be on the safe side. I can't imagine that it will cost more than $20 (we paid $11 for six of us from the Boardwalk to All Star Sports) and that might be worth it for the peace of mind.

I LOVE the DIS meet photos. Yes, we've had decent weather this week (it gets cold again next week).

I know the buses start about 60 - 90 minutes ahead of park opening. We always drive to early morning meals at resorts...much easier on my heart so I'm not worrying about being late. IF we don't get a rental car right at the beginning of the trip, we take a cab.
