Howdy peeps!!!

So i did Dis on Sunday! i had TIME!!! WOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO
Monday... I got up like i normally do. got ready and drove to work.. i was a bit early so i sat in the car. Played on my phone. after a while i looked to see what time it was.. 6:50?!?! and no one here?!?! WTH???
check my work phone.. YOU MORON IT'S PULASKI DAY! i drove back home.
Matt and i sat on the couch waiting for the rest of my tribe to awaken. Once everyone stopped LAUGHING AT ME, i went to target. we need pants for Meg and Matt. (geesh that kid is growing like a weed!!!) #1 target no pants. but found a lot of other thing i needed (no i didn't) bought a ton of stuff for the trip like travel sized things, markers coloring books etc.
Target #2 had Meg pants. more trip stuff..
Kohl's No pants but other stuff for her.
Target #3 FOUND PANTS! and Pictionary!!! i needed that too...
spent WAY too much $$ but it is what it is..
Yesterday: There was an event for work i was asked to go and take pictures. A day away from the office is a day I LOVE!!!
we had a blast and i must remember to take pictures of the fun stuff i picked up..
went home and had a baseball meeting.

After the meeting Chris kinda kept Tom and i behind while everyone was leaving.
DISNEY WAS BROUGHT UP!!! BY CHRIS!!!
so his concern like everyone's he doesn't want to be in a park enjoying himself have to stop to get to the TS location.. I get this. TOTALLY understandable. Let him know that we feel the same and this is why we like to do our TS in the morning so we DO have the rest of the day to just do.
This made him feel better AND he said YES to the MNSSHP!!!! not only that... he is UP FOR THE ORIGINAL MICKEY MOUSE CLUB SHIRT IDEA!!!!
OK so how do i do this???

I need to REDO our plans. again... i have to call Jen today about a couple of other things about baseball so hopefully she will have time to talk Disney too..

Seems like everyone is BACK ON TRACK and we can get this rolling!!!

we will be using the hard ticket MNSSHP for the one day and free up our last day for a park day!!!

Yesterday was Resorts made in 2014! AOA was one featured. As we are watching it Meg is sitting on the floor playing. looks dead at me. says in her most serious voice. I WANT TO STAY THERE.. of course i laugh.. Meg serious is one of the funniest things ever.
So i mess with her. Oh you want to stay there (pointing at the TV while contemporary is on) NO. Lion King... I said Oh Boardwalk? She says: no..... lion king... looking at me under her lashes... She. Means. Business...
I tell her it's a nice resort Maybe next time, we are staying at the poly...
So we are still on track they think we are going in 2015 an we are staying at the poly.
Oh boy these kids are in for a treat!!!

I cannot contain my excitement over this WHOLE THING!!!
So far here we go:
Surprise the kids about 3pm Chicago time. BIG REVEAL!!!
Leave about 5pm .. HOLY CRAP how am i going to contain myself for that long?!?!
Drive and and and and and and
hopefully arrive about 10am! check in the resort then have the most WONDERFUL, MAGICAL, VACATION EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DD and I just watched the Destination America Disney resort special this morning before school! I had no idea they were having a Disney week until last night I happened to start watching DA for a cooking show and the Disney show was next. Set up DVR's for everything I could find!

Can you believe that it is snowing again today?

I am so excited for your changes! You are going to blow the kids away with this surprise! We blew the surprise for our kids last weekend. Not sure what our motivation was, but it just seemed like the right decision at the time. Turns out is was, DD is super excited to help with the planning. I think our next trip will be a surprise, since I am hoping that it will be less of a break in between.

DD knows we are staying in a LM room at AoA the first two nights and was SOOOO upset that the resorts special didn't show one of the LM room. So was I!

For some reason I was not getting updates about your PTR and I didn't stop over so I missed the big news. I did enjoy the commercial breaks (even spotted Brenda Walsh) and got a little teary in that commercial from the 90's.

I am so excited that you are going to be staying AoA in the Lion King area. We visited that resort on our trip in Oct. We were staying at POP but since they are right next to each other we wanted to check it out. We enjoyed our dinner there but it wasn't too busy. We always stay at the Value resorts and I refuse to go to the food court for breakfast. It is too chaotic for me and there is no way I could keep track of my kids. We always bring cereal and milk in our cooler and eat in the room, works good to feed the kids while we are getting ready.

Okay, Im not gonna quote everything but...

Lion King area is close to the main building, its actually the only area that doesnt have its own pool, bc its right next to the Nemo pool! There are a couple LK buildings and one faces over the lake between POP and AoA, so that must be what you got, the other is by the parking lot, lol... Its a good location!! LM rooms and Cars are off in either direction and its not but a 5 min walk, but when I am booking it to the bus it can make a difference to me! Also LK area is where they set up the night time movie screen!! It also has a little run-around play area thats cool with the elephant graveyard bones! Totally awesome!

Okay, so onto your update! Too funny that you went to work when you didnt have too! Whoops!

Great news on everything falling into place!! You and I know that your friends will be singing a different tune about all the planning and ADRs when youre walking straight in to eat while others sit waiting around for tables!!! You'll make believers out of them, I'm sure of it!!

And I DID notice is Disney week on DA!!!! I just put that on my FB!! We watched the thrill ride one last night, which we've seen a million times, but still. We have all the shows DVRing and I cant wait for the resort one bc its new!!! Yippeeeeee!

Oh, and you're too funny with your Target story! That always happens to me, I go to like 3 of em looking for something and end up with a car full of Target bags! What can ya do!?!

another SCORE on LK!!! smack dab in the middle!!! i cannot wait to see the big blue pool!!!

I requested building 6 which is the one either facing the lake or the graveyard. (that sounds off) I did NOT want the off chance of getting a room overlooking the parking lot... I am excited to be able to walk over to POP and FINALLY try the tie dyed cheesecake!!!

Oh absolutely. When we were talking i think he understood a little more. When most communications are through email/texts to people who have NEVER been there it's hard to get them to understand. I don't Jen has done a lot of research either. Which again is fine. until she gets my bill!!! Just kidding..

Found this suggestion on one of the DVC boards for surprising the munchkins: Scavenger hunt and for the last clue if you have Google Earth on your computer have them enter this in a search. N28 25.11972 W81 34.86738 it will take them right to the center of Magic Kingdom

We will drive down a few days early and stay at Raina's then go down with them.....or if Frank doesn't want to drive overnight. We will leave the day before from Raina's ,and stay off site one night and meet them at POR in the morning.......hm wonder if I can even sleep that close to the world....lol

Hey Mo, I just had to come by to say hi. I'm in Virginia and will be here for two weeks at least. Jennifer had her leg straightened today and is now in a full cast. It took her a while to come out of the anesthesia, but she is doing pretty well now as long as she keeps the pain meds coming.

I LOVE that your surprise is now including where you're staying and that Meg really, really wants to stay there! This is going to be EPIC!!! You are really taking this trip to the next level and I know you are beside yourself with excitement. I love Tess' idea of the Google map pinpointing the castle. That would be soooo cool!

Alright lets try to put this into perspective:

ADR day is Tuesday!!! and i am having nightmares about it. i PRAY this goes well.

In July i can make the FP+ selections..

Departure day:
about 3pm (if i can wait this long) is when the reveal will start. either with the scavenger hunt, or phone call IF I CAN FIND THE VOICE CHANGER!!! Maybe both?!?!
The Big Box will be in our front hall.
The box will be wrapped with Mickey wrapping paper, inside the box will be: the helium balloons with three cards. (haven't figured out what will be on them - Ideas?) they will read the cards announcing we are LEAVING FOR DISNEY WORLD! NOW!!!
Then they will go through their bags: consisting of tee shirts necessities for a trip to Disney world, and fun stuff to keep them busy for a very long car drive back and forth.. Once i have them under control again we will pack up the car that is decorated with Disney stuff "Disney or Bust" written on the windows.
5pm we will be ON OUR WAY! we will stop when we need too, I will have sandwiches and snacks for the ride do we don't have to stop too much on the way there...


Excited KIDS!!! Look how excited they get over ANYTHING Disney!!!

At this point their surprise is going to Disney. WHICH IS HUGE but the surprises are not done!!!

Would like to stop at the waffle house for breakfast.. then finish off the drive to our favorite place ever!!!

Congratulations on the resort change. We have never stayed there but my Aunt and Uncle have during our last two September trips. They stay in a Lion King Suite and they love it. My little one wants to stay there very badly but I just can't bring myself to give up the great transportation options at the Deluxes. However, I will eventually have to cave and let him stay there.

i went to lunch yesterday, there was 6 inches on my truck.. I was so mad i didn't clean it off. that what the wipers are for.. I mean how can weather really effect your piss-offed-ness? if that's a word. but it fits perfectly here and snow. just so done with it.

When I woke up this morning and saw the dusting from last night I wanted to scream. It is almost irrational how much I hate this winter. I am not originally from here, grew up in TN, where snow melts and goes away, like it's suppose to. Winter here is just evil!

OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! what happened?!?!

Not sure why we decided on telling them, but it turns out to be a good thing. We moved the dates of our trip up by 3 months, we are now leaving at the end of May instead of August. We are NOT telling them about the change in plans. Now I can do my planning and sewing, and they just think it is for the trip in August. They are so excited. They both have started a list of rides that they want to ride. Everyone of this is a "we have to ride this first" ride.

I have already spoken to their teachers (since they will miss the last two days of school) and plan on speaking to the principal on Tuesday when I see her. We want to arrange a surprise where we will pick them up at school early and say "We're leaving for Disney World NOW!" I haven't gotten much further than that. Would LOVE to get a limo to take us to the airport but since we are flying out of Midway instead of O'Hare it is bit more of a drive, and the Groupons never cover it.

So excited for your plans to stay at AoA! We gave it up when we changed dates. It was much cheaper to stay at POR for two nights with a discount, than a non-discounted LM room at AoA.

Your kids are going to go through the roof!!!

ADR day is Tuesday!!! and i am having nightmares about it. i PRAY this goes well.

In July i can make the FP+ selections..

After Tuesday you can sleep easy (well at least until July) . Your plans look great and the kids are going to be super exciting. It should be a crazy afternoon at your house after the big reveal. I don't know how you will keep the AOA secret for the entire drive!
