Last time we drove (we were in Kenosha, WI so driving was more of an option than it is from Utah) and a few minutes before we got there I asked our oldest Abi (almost 5 at the time) where she would go if she could go anywhere in the world.

She said Disney world. So we said, "Well, that's where we are going." She didn't believe us at first because I had been saying for months we would go when she was older.
She said, "But I'm not old enough."

It was a very simple reveal. But fun.

Mo, I am so sorry I have been missing in action. Between work (and working overtime), trying to go through my clothes to be sure they fit, making sure I have all my toiletries, etc., I feel like I've not been on the DIS in two weeks. So I am behind everywhere.

I love the gifts your kids gave you...very sweet of each of them.

Boards for Youth Sports. God how I hated that. I served for more years than I should (I was still on when our youngest graduated) and the drama involved was more than one should have to deal with in a lifetime.

2 weeks and your DIS meet will be happening.

This is adorable!!!! when she realized it wasn't a joke did she go bananas? i think i am more excited about telling them we are going then actually going!

WOW! you did it for the longest time!!! I. am. done. I will stick with the school sports. seems like people over there have a lot more maturity.. Plus i have a blast!!!!

For the past two days i have been playing around with Movie Maker.. I have no idea in how i have never known about this program before?!?! SOOOOOO much fun!!!!

It's hard to keep the movie about 20-30 minutes.. i could make it HOURS LONG.. the beginning i actually made myself tear up.. watching the pictures and adding the music?? yeah i blubbered... i will be trying to finish it up over the weekend then make a new Photobucket account just for 2014 pictures maybe add the movie too it??? i don't know.. I would love to share the movie with you.. I get no one wants to watch someone else home movies!

Almost completed the binders, I need to add coloring pages and activities pages. then i can put them all together.

Talking to Nicole (which always changes things for the good) she came up with a great idea.

I am going to take my truck to my parents house. decorate it, and put the binders on their seats. Once we are out of the house and off to our adventure they will be surprised yet again!!!

maybe. Or i will add them to the big box of fun...

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend? we did!

Lets talk weekend before we get into all the Disney fun stuff shall we?

Saturday i worked job #2- the boys won their game! Meg lost.. it was their opening day.
She doesn't like softball AT ALL i blame the coach!!! it's really horrible coaching.. i do want her to finish this season (no quitters!!!)
Next year i will re-draft her if she still hates it then i will let her quit and it's volleyball all the way. I hope to put her on a team she will enjoy!! at least give it a try!!!

Sunday was a DAY OFF!!! yes i have been having a few of these!
Totally had several plans of getting the house together go shopping ya know since i have house guests coming!! I did NONE OF THIS.

Made reservations for Rain Forest cafe downtown. It was such a beautiful day! we needed to take a drive i needed some time with my widgets.



look how happy they are... I just LOVE THESE KIDS!!!

Talk about HORRIBLE service, took about 20 minutes after we ordered our drinks to find out they were out of Icee's then another 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive. then another 15 for appetizers. then another 15 for food. wasn't like we ordered some exotic food. Cheeseburger (me) pizza (zack) rotisserie chicken (matt) popcorn shrimp and chicken nuggets (meg) the kids all off the children's menu. I asked for Medium burger it came as VERY well done. whatever it wasn't as if we were looking for a 5 star restaurant! Yet we did order that volcano Dessert? Oh. My. NUM!!! If you haven't had this. I suggest you go there JUST FOR THIS!!! Run there. Now..
then the bill came. I had sticker shock. i mentioned what we ate. now can you guess the bill???
did you guess under 100.00? well you are DEAD WRONG! the bill was 131.25!!! I almost lost the contents in my stomach.. But since it was so expensive there was no way i was going to lose that too.. Lets just say i was not so happy.. Oh well. time to move on.
We drove down Michigan Made fun out of the bean. (it's so stupid) then jumped on LSD. (lake Shore Dr.) opened the windows and enjoyed the drive...
I don't know if you can see the Mickey head on the museum?

Until...

we saw an ambulance. Then a firetruck. Then the police started to show up in every direction.

I believe someone was shot. thankfully there was nothing there when we had to turn around. and go back north. Decided to go ALL the way back north jump on the expressway. because if the animals are out and acting like fools i was not about to take my kids through the neighborhoods.
Morons.

Came home kicked the kids outside to enjoy some nice weather. Then they ALL were telling me they wanted to play a board game. sure go ahead. NO WE WANT YOU.. how can one say no???

All 3 against me... I got my behind handed to me.

Regardless of the detour we had a great night!!! and a great weekend!!!

On to Disney Planning!

I wasn't able to work on the movie at all. ANYTIME i want to work on planning they FLOCK to me.. if i am just goofing around on the computer they can care less.. i don't get it.
But i was able to download tons of music i needed... ya know i can't just throw something together i need to have it perfect.

THEN! I read on Terri's report all about YUMMY snacks and she mentioned doing a Passport of snacks...
Yeah going to make that too.... LOVE THIS IDEA!!!

On to the reveal...

So right now we plan on leaving about 5:00(ish) will be driving straight through the night.

Again talking with Nicole she said to do the reveal early.. this way the kids will have time to let it sink in. Get whatever stuff THEY want to pack on the trip...

This is a good idea. (again) I don't know what time to do this!
I still need time to take the truck over to my parents to "decorate" add a couple more decals

ISN'T this the best?!?! add a few things get it BACK to the house without them seeing the car.

Make sure the people who want to be there are there. Settled... Show the video. then have them find the box.

I'm amazed at what you have been able to accomplish without the kids knowing a thing about it. You'll get it done and I am sure it will be brilliant and perfect!

Rainforest Cafe is overpriced and the food bleh. We did the one downtown and the one in Vegas. We will never go again...not even at Disney.

It truly was a beautiful day yesterday. I had peace and quiet and sat on my patio. Now I am sitting here IMPATIENTLY waiting for 10 days to hurry up.

Rainforest Cafe is so overpriced it is ridiculous! My kids love it though... and so does my husband. We end up at the one in Woodfield Mall way to often!! Loved the pic of your kiddos at RC, so adorable!!

It sounds like you had a great (and crazy) weekend as usual!

RFC - I agree - totally insane! But it's fun eating there, and we always enjoy ourselves, even if we don't enjoy paying the bill. Sigh.

It was a gorgeous day here too... I even laid out on the deck for a little while - trying to catch up on my Vitamin D. Glad I did, because it's POURING here today.

Oooh - I love the idea of a snack passport... I need to go over to Terri's ptr and see what that's all about. You know how I feel about food!

I am so anxious for you to do the reveal. So, how soon before you go are you planning to surprise them? I wish I had some great ideas for you... I am the worst surpriser-er ever!
