The Louisville Slugger factory and museum are in............Louisville! My uncle took us there years ago. It was a great tour - I'd highly recommend it if you are going to be in Kentucky.
Hahahaha... See, I knew it! She checks in occasionally.
D~
you won't have to worry about having the Electrical Parade music stuck in your head because you will have the "Boo to You" song stuck there for the next year - I guarantee it!
Okay, no report yet. I'm trying, I really am, but I am getting ready to go to Virginia to help out when Jennifer has her next procedure, so I'm pretty busy. I mean, not busy like YOU are busy, but busy for me!![]()
If you ever get someone you can't understand when you call Disney, just excuse yourself and hang up and call right back. The chances of you getting the same person is pretty slim. You can always say, "I'll have to call you back, my ferret is lost in the couch" or something equally unbelievable.![]()
I hope they start doing fp for the Frozen M&G, but it wasn't when we were there. The lines were consistently 3 hours long fairly quickly. As far as I know it was just Elsa and Anna. To tell you the truth, I think for once Disney was caught off guard with how wildly popular this movie turned out to be. There is absolutely NO merchandise to be had anywhere at Disney. A CM told me they expect a big shipment to coincide with the release of the DVD. Come to think of it, maybe it's Disney's version of the Cabbage Patch doll or the Wii. Make people crazy wanting them and they'll pay anything. Who knows?
How fun to get some pixie dust from Connie! DIS friends are the best!!![]()
It's time to get back up to finish up the laundry and cleaning the bathrooms upstairs.Coffe break is over. Believe me, I'd rather be doing a trip report!
I love your little smilies you use, hahahahah!! You crack me up SO much! I don't think you should be eviland make us wait!! Just write up what your cooking up and provide me with some good reading material!!
Hahah!
Sorry that Disney planning has been a little rough on you this week...
And I also must apologize, but Alli and I literally CRACKED UP over your phone conversation with Disney... I know that's horrible - but you described it so well. I agree with Lois - hang up, try again. I am very bad with accents too, and I have such a hard time understanding them.
Regardless - I hope you were able to get everything figured out... Your ADR day is approaching quickly!
Loved the Pixie Dust from Connie - I wore my clip to work the other day, It felt good to Disney-fy my Target day.
I hope you have a good weekend.
Love ya, mean it!

Too bad you won't see this until Monday.![]()

Thought I would add my car entertainment idea and input on crayons on car.
We drove one year when my kids were about the ages of yours. We had crayons, one got left in the car ..... It was hot, crayon melted and made a terrible mess, new rule came into play -no crayons in car EVER!
We did pick up the AAA travel books as the kids began to rev up I said to get the books and find one interesting thing about each state we drove through - as we drove through Kentucky my son discovered they had a Louisville slugger factory that had tours. We were too excited to get to Disney on the way to FL but, we would check it out on the way home. (We did but forgot a time change and arrived just after it had closed). The travel books kept the kids on the look out for different things for the rest of our trip, and we're able to give suggestions as we neared places we had planned to stop for meals. Surprisingly they learned a little more about each state as we drove through it.

HaHaHa! VERY occasionally!!!![]()
whew, good catch on the 1 year six months......now they won't be so curious when they catch you doing projects....in your spare time.....![]()
Plans look great....I think I would've tried over as well
Connie is so sweet!!! I love those bows!
Hope the girls won this weekend
I'm impressed you were able to head off Meg and all the kids excitement for Disney. They are going to be FREAKING out when you finally tell them.![]()
I think it is good to put the requests in now and then add them again when you do on-line check in. If they know you are coming early they will try to slate a room that is available for you. Can't hurt to ask as many times as needed.![]()
The gifts that Connie sent were so cool. Love the Mickey and Minnie clips and those light up stickers are so neat. Umm yeah, that Perry is HUGE.
I agree with TigerLily - as a kid we would drive to Florida every few years to visit family and we were never allowed to have Crayons in the car because they always melted onto the seats or molded together. I love all the ideas everyone suggested with the Bingo and other car games. My kids also like to read in the car so I always hit the library right before we go on a road trip for some books and magazines. Once we get to our destination the books just stay in the car.
I like your revised plans. I know you will be disappointed if you don't get to do the Dessert party but I think if you can't fit it in the budget you won't miss it too much. Anything at Disney times 5 adds up quick.
Hope you had a stress free weekend and aren't snowed in!
The food court sucked though - so just be aware of that before you go... It took us about 40 minutes for all of us to get our food, and by the time we sat down, everyone who had received their food first had cold food - I don't mind cold burgers that much - but I had a turf n' turf... Yucky cold. Maybe things have gotten better now?
I love your new plans! I think with all the construction going on at the Poly you would be disappointed if you stayed there. I know you love it, but the new plans are fabulous. I think taking a day off on MNSSHP day is a good idea. Charlie and I did that last year - we stayed at the pool all day until it was time to get ready to go. The kids can play in the pool, or you could go to DTD for the day. It will be a long night.

YAY!!!! I am soooo glad you changed resorts!!
I was really concerned what you would find once you got there and that it would make things a lot less magical than you had hoped. And AOA will be fabulous!! I am literally jumping up and down in my mind.![]()
I think the kids will be so deliriously happy! And I'm sure that's a load off your mind. And, bonus, saving you money! I really like the idea of making your MNSSHP a free day. No sense using a ticket when you'll be getting in by 4. And BOG at 5 or 5:30 would be awesome! This will work!
I'm so proud of your girls too!! They must have played their little hearts out. There is nothing wrong with second place especially when you think how far they came. They should be very proud of their efforts and I'm sure you helped them see that. Way to go coach!![]()
I'll be leaving Wednesday morning for Virginia, so I'll be a bit scarce around here after today since I have so much to get done before I leave. But I'll jump on whenever I get a chance while I'm at Jennifer's. Meanwhile, you take care and paint your toes and think Spring. D~ has started a grass roots movement and I'm getting on board!![]()
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love the change!!!!
i think those suites look awesome. It didn't work out for us because of the bed situation, but I would like to stay there some day!!! Aaaaaand, you won't have to stress about the Poly....you can always go visit![]()
Plus the pool looks AWESOME at AoA. Hello, underwater sound effects![]()

I am SOOOOOO excited for you! You will LOVE AOA and save alotta dough! You know you'll be back to the Poly one day when it's all nice and refurbed anyway!
mgggggeeeeee! I'm like doing somersaults in my head! So happy my TR helped make this easier for you! It really is going to be fantabulous! You will really enjoy the pool and the food is pretty good too!!!
I really wish we were gonna be there around the same time!![]()
Oh well, I can't WAIT to hear all about it when you get back!
The location of the Lion King suites is awesome too!!! We had to walk through there everyday, lol! If I could pick a family suite it'd be LK too!!
Gosh, I'm just so happy! Lol!
I am so very excited about this change! I loved the time we spent there last summer - it's so FUN and in your face! We loved all of the theming and the awesomeness of it. YOu are going to love it.
I hope, for your sake, that they have.
I wish a suite would work for us, but sadly - it would drive me TOTALLY BONKERS to have to rip apart the table every night to make it into a bed. I am a person who must have a table to eat at and a bed to sleep on - with no effort.
I wish I knew of a Mickey app that would do this for you... I have no idea... But it looks like someone up above posted something for you?
The kids are going to FLIP out!!!!! Totally FLIP OUT!!!! I love it!
I do like TLK suites though - personally I love the Cars ones (and I didn't really like the Cars movies???? - yah, I don't get it either...)... I think it's the leather sofa that does me in. LOL
Super excited for you Mo!!!
D~
Lol! In the message before this I said how awesome the food court is!! I think it must've gotten better...we were there at least 3 times and loved it! It was one of our fave QS!! I think the surf thing might have been what Chris got once, it was a burger made with a crab cake, right? He still talks about it and mentions how he can't wait to order it when he goes back!
Myself? I was a HUGE fan of the pasta bar! It was sooo yummy!!! My recommendation? Bowtie pasta with pesto, shrimp and broccoli then topped with Alfredo! Mmmmm! They give you soooo much and it's always piping hot bc they cook it to order right in front of you! And they do not skimp on the parmesan either!!
I don't recall how long we waited, but it was for sure no where near 40min! But I also don't think we are there during regular meal times except breakfast.
So hopefully it's good when you and I both go back, MO!! That'd be a big disappointment for me if it wasn't!
I am sooooo jealous you are staying in one of the Lion King suites!! Lion King is one of my favorite Disney movies and staying there would be perfect for me.
Unfortunately with mostly going by myself or with one other person, it's just not practical.Morgan and I wanted to stay at AOA for the February trip but the rest of the family wanted to go as cheap as possible so we ended up at All Star Sports instead.
