Hello all! Welcome to my first try at a pre-trip report and hopefully a trip report when I get back.I have read, laughed and cried with soo many trip reports in the last year, so I thought that I would give one a try. We leave for Disney on December 1st (which couldn’t come any faster) and will be there until the 12th. I will introduce you to the cast first then tell you about our plans so far.

DH (41) (Brian) the love of my life, will turn 42 on our trip. He is a foreman for a lumber and manufacturing company. He is into Disney as much as I am. He thinks the DIS boards are too complicated (cause you know its rocket science here) so he tours his own site. (I have been trying to convert him and thought it would be fun to get him to comment on this report with his own input, he is quite humorous:lmao: )

DS (10) (Dallas) pirate: will be 11 on the 14th of this month. He loves Disney, talks about it all the time out of nowhere. He doesn’t like hills, too fast or some of the dark rides. Will do some but works himself up for others. Wants to finally try TT and BMTR this year (YEA). He is big for his age but is just a big teddy bear with a huge heart.

DS (6) (Cody) :flower3: will be 7 on the 1st of November. He is my outgoing, fun, and ACTIVE boy. He doesn’t like to sit still very long, and will try any thing once. Loves Splash Mountain and teases his brother for not liking it. He talks to anyone and everyone (which is scary at times) He is also very inquisitive. Wants to know how everything works, why it works and what happens if it doesn’t work a certain way. Gets very detailed in every conversation he has. He also thinks because he is cute he can get away with anything:sad2:

Me (32) (Misty) I work as an Accountant and Office Manager for an electrical contracting company and also do taxes on the side. I love Disney, loves seeing my family in Disney, and making memories while my kids are still young enough to enjoy and believe in the magic.

We will have some other people joining us on this trip. My friend Jen and her family have only been to Disney once (on Easter week) so she is letting me plan most of the things. She has 2 daughters, Paige just turned 11 and Bailey just turned 7 (same ages as my sons). They are going home earlier than us. Her kids are in a different school district than mine and she is taking them out for a week and then they are coming back so the kids don’t miss any more school. My kids are in a year round school district and have the month of December off, so that is why we chose to go when we do. Then during the trip Brian’s parents will be coming to Disney but are staying at a different hotel. (they are DVC members) and we will meet with them from time to time.

A little background for your reading enjoyment. Our first Disney trip as a family was in December of 2001. We didn’t take Cody with us because I believed that he wouldn’t have any fun. He was just learning how to walk and I thought that he would have been cooped up in a stroller all day. (now that I DIS I know that he would have probably been alright, but we had bonding time with Dallas instead) we traveled with Brian’s parents and were going to stay at Port Orleans, but they upgraded us to Animal Kingdom. WOO HOO. Dallas loved having the bunk beds and since we had the Zebra trail, we had a watering hole right outside our window and there were always animals there to look at. We only stayed for 4 days and went to each park one day (EPCOT was bad because I wanted Dallas to do the Mask from the countries to take to school for show and tell and it took most of the day and didn’t get to see much of the rest of EPCOT). Then we went off site to rent a condo for 2 days and went to see the ocean and Seaworld. That trip seemed to go by to quick and when we got home it seemed like we needed a vacation from our vacation.
Well Brian and I talked and we decided we would wait and go again in 2 years with both boys. I thought that was a good age for Cody to go. Well as the time got closer my friend Traci decided she wanted to go, she has a son that is a year older than Cody and she had never taken him on a vacation. So I did the planning and we went for 7 days at All Star Sports in October 2003 (that was a busy time and HOT). We did go to Seaworld one of the days and then Brian and Dallas rented a car to go to the ocean while Traci and I took Cody and her son to MGM (Brian didn’t care for this park to much). Then the rest of the days we just park hopped and did what we wanted. Traci and I met up once a day, did stuff together and then went our separate ways. She likes the parades and shopping and movies and we like more of the rides.
After we got back from that trip Brian said, I think we should go every other year and keep it in December. Well that was a no-brainer I said OK and I will start planning now. So this is when I started browsing the DIS. Then it was set. We went in December of 2005 stayed at CBR and Brian’s parents joined us. We loved it there. While we were there Brian’s parents decided that they were going to start looking at the DVC. They had bought annual passes and we going in December with us and then went back in February. Well, when they came back they were the proud new owners of the DVC.

Up next I will try to post pictures of all of us and tell you about the plans and the ADR’s we have (YUMMY)……will I or will I not learn to post a picture, stay tunes and see
