Can you watch the "Holiday Magic" Fireworks from DTD? Or any other good spot that is not in the park?
On our arrival day, we are not paying to go into the parks, but thought that we may be able to see the Fireworks. Is this possible? And if so, from where?

Our hotel room at HOJO is supposed to be park view.... so could we see it from our room? (that is, if we really do get a "view" room);)

thanks!

No, Fantasmic is a land based show, not fireworks. You can only see it from New Orleans Square and Frontierland inside the park.

You will be able to see the aerial fireworks show from your hotel room or out in the plaza, but you won't be able to see the lower fireworks or light displays on IASW, Sleeping Beauty's Castle or the Matterhorn from outside the park.

As far as I know, you can't see Fantasmic out of the park except for some fireworks at the most.

How many days are your park hoppers? It may be worth it to add another day just so that you can get in the park to see Fantasmic freeing up your other days to do other stuff. For example, if you are going from a 4 to a 5 day park hopper it would only be like $10 per ticket! A 5 to a 6 would only be $5!

* you can see the Fireworks from Hojo... but you won't be able to see the images projected on the castle and the matterhorn. Also no music either!

Yeah, you can totally see the fireworks outside of the park. You can even see them from the freeways!

You should be able to see the fireworks from your hotel. Last time we went we were walking over the overpass to the Menage Hotel when the fireworks started and I have to say the view from there was incredible.

OH MY! We are getting the City pass from Costco and I guess that I never realized that it was so cheap to upgrade.:confused3
Do you think they will let us upgrade on the city pass? I sure hope so!

Oh... the city pass eh? hmm.. that may be a little harder to upgrade because when you upgrade the city pass you lose the bundle discount you get with the other tickets... You may want to try calling guest services to see what it would cost! ;)

The Christmas fireworks are easily seen from outside the park, but not very well in DTD. You kind of have to peer between buildings/through trees, and the view is not that great. We have watched them from the balcony of our hotel (Park Vue Inn, right across the street from the entrance) and the view is wonderful. Can't compare to watching it in the parks....especially watching in front of the castle....which is awesome. But we never pay to go into the parks on the night we arrive. We just do DTD and head back to the hotel in time for fireworks.

Have a wonderful trip!!!!!
