We don't have alot of leftovers but more because I spread it around and gave it away. My sister lives alone and went to dads for T-day so I gave her the legs and other dark meat (we tend to stick to the white meat only). I also gave her several tupperware containers with squash (would end up in the trash), cranberry sauce (I made about 2 gallons of the stuff to freeze so Tori can eat it year round so plenty made), and brought my dad my leftover mashed potatoes because he lives alone and doesn't make them (he serves baked potatoes with everything ) We still have a ton of turkey leftover (our bird was 22 lbs. ) and goodies leftover - chocolate puddind pie for DH & DD, and some pastries my dad had me bring home - eclairs, lemon/raspberry twist things. So while they can fend for themselves tomorrow while I work 8A-10P, I'll be back to cooking on Saturday
T-day was uneventful other than eating and eating and eating and eating. We went and saw my dad and had a sandwich late and the kids got to visit grandpa & auntie who came back to see them too. And definitely had to fit a nap in the middle there too
Sounds like shopping was good for you then. I made it to Target and that was it. Just had a turkey sandwich for lunch. Guess what's for dinner? Turkey and all the fixings!
We have no leftovers. Since I did not cook.
But today I had to go out and find a turkey breast so I can cook it. The only one I found was frozen. Oh well.
I have it in a big pan of cold water to thaw it out. So maybe I will be able to cook it tonight.
