Wasting away again in Loserville-(all welcome to grab an adult beverage and come in)

Eek..I forgot. Laundry today!!! Gotta make sure Katie's dressed like a big Cheeto tomorrow!

She likes to wear orange and they are going on a class trip to the zoo. I want to make it REALLY hard to lose her, YKWIM? Can anyone think of something for to make her for lunch? She doesn't do sanwiches, Mostly she likes mac & cheese, taco bowls (layered beans, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream) or spaghetti..or should I just plan to kiss a ziplock bowl goodbye and give her what she likes?

She has to bring a "sack lunch".

Her usual lunch contains all of the following; bowl of entree, raisins, fruit snacks, slim jim, fresh fruit or jello, cheese stick and a thermos of water.

This is not the kind of kid you'd want to miss a meal, btw. She's jumped on the backs of other kids for a mickey d's cheeseburger and melts down in a big way when she's hungry. She also may be on edge to begin with as she's resisitant to schedule changes.

So, I'm planning a can of carbonated lemon water, fruit snack, watermelon, raisins, cheese stick, slim jim.....and? I'm thinking I'll be kissing a bowl bye-bye.

Sacrifice the bowl. It is a good cause!!!

Okay, I'll give up a bowl.

Whew thanks, losers! Crisis averted!

:teeth:

Just get the Glad ones that are cheap. Or a leftover chinese container. Our place gives awesome plastic ones with a divider in them. Does she do pb&j crackers? You could put those in a ziplock baggy, or tinfoil may be more sturdy. Would she do rolled up cold cuts, without the bread? I used to roll up a piece of cheese inside ham or turkey or whatever, and cut it so it looked all fancy. The kids I babysit for LOVE it. The zoo sounds like a great trip. We should be getting to the Bronx Zoo soon. wooo!!!!

I was gonna say the same thing: Kate's a winner(sing-songy) Kate's a winner! TK--just buy some of the sandwich meat that comes in a gladware-type container and send that container with her. I always have tons for just that reason. The meat's not a whole lot more and you get the bowl. Unless you already have bowls. Can she bring ice pack, though? That might get gross if you send that without one. Or freeze a capri sun and use it as an ice pack. Then she can drink when it's thawed--that's what mine have been known to do. Whatever, I certainly wouldn't mess up her routine. She's already gonna have that as it is.

OK--I got rid of the boy (Erm, I mean I took him to school since he clearly was NOT sick). Took him to get a lunch at TBell and he took it back to school to eat in front of his friends. The ladies in the office asked where theirs was--he looked at them like they were gonna take his tacos. Nope, don't think he was sick. He just thought he was cause Sissy stayed home yesterday. I shoulda told him hers was brought on by PMS and cramps!:rotfl:

WHat's for dinner? I'm making brat patties and potato salad and a green salad. Not very healthy but it IS good!

Later, Losers. I am off to do the kid shuffle in a few....

True story....
My MALE 14yo old cousin (at the time) laid on the couch moaning one afternoon. His mother, an RN, listened to him going on for several minuted and knew he wasn't in any "real" pain, finally asked him "Whats the matter" He responded with "my UTERUS hurts"

OMG that's hillarious

I have no idea what we are doing for dinner. We have a game at 5:30 so we won't get home till almost 8pm. Think the kiddos are getting chicken nuggets and FE and I will eat the leftover Cheesy Sausage Penne I freezer bagged.

I have oodles of those little glad bowls, that's what Katie usually uses for lunch.

I also may have one carpi sun type drink hidden in the freezer. She likes water better, but one day may be okay.

I'm making..um...sushi, soup and rice tonight.

The boys are cracking me up...I'm sick, gimmee taco bell! My uterus hurts....:rotfl:

The menu for this evening consists of:

Bone-In Spare Ribs
Mashed Potatoes
Some kind of vegetable to be named later - probably broccoli
And biscuits (out of a can)

Dessert will be either Vanilla or Chocolate Almond Chip Ice Cream with cool whip & chocolate sauce.

When I was a CM I was at Epcot with some guy friends and we were walking around WS. Well they were walking...and dragging me because I had a sprained ankle and couldn't walk. We were trying to the to the IG so I could get a wheelchair...for free btw. Anywhoos one of the guys kept complaining that he had cramps. Dude...guys don't get cramps where you are saying they do. Only women. He was such a baby that day.

Still no fever:woohoo:

Still knocking on wood.:lmao:

So far I got pork chops, that's it, I dont know what else, (and of course applesauce, in the infamous words of Peter Brady "porkchops and applesauce"

Sloppy Joes with brocolli and salad

"sloppy joes, sloppy, sloppy joes yeah"

PIZZA!! and tomorrow....PIZZA LEFTOVERS!!!

We have cubscouts tonight, I let DS8 skip his baseball practice because the two are too close together. Tomorrow, DS10 has practice, so I will have enough pizza left over for then too. I bought one of those fundraiser cards, so now our large pizza that was plenty has become a large and a medium...

Am I a DOUBLE loser or what???
