Wasting away again in Loserville-(all welcome to grab an adult beverage and come in)

Why does it seem like the dirty dishes in my house never end, especially this weekend :scared1:

Dirty dishes, dirty laundry, dirty kids...the list goes on and on. Again I vent about my NASTY KITCHEN FLOOR!!! I just want to chop it up, i told dh i wanted somethng darker (aka NOT white) and he says "Why so you can't see the dirt?":thumbsup2 Smarty pants, I'll smack him down, and yes, exactly!!

I love MN. I went to Southwest State in Marshall. :)

The twin cities are great. Lots to do and see.

Oh yes, there IS lots to do and see...I like MN, I just dislike the cold and it has been cold here since the end of October, so I am getting rather cranky about it. I mean, it is almost May, for goodness sakes and it was snowing this weekend! I have new sandals and I want to wear them, dangit, but I don't want my toes to freeze off either!:guilty:

Apparently, the natives love the cold, but since I am a transplant, I have a low tolerance. Honestly, I could even deal with the cold IF the sun would shine. That would help tremendously. DD3 keeps asking why Mr. Sun is playing hide and seek with her!

It's a conspriacy! Dishes and laundry and toys on the floor tend to muiltiply all by themselves, I swear it! That happens in my laundry room--I'll have everything washed and then walk by and there'll be a pile overflowing from the hamper(or just on the floor in front of the hamper since it's so hard to actually put the stuff inside the hamper:rolleyes: )

I like MN, too. Grew up in Moorhead, moved to SD, went to college and ended up back in MN (Mankato State, which is now MN State Mankato) As a native of the cold lands, I am definitely not impressed with the cold weather we've been having (no snow here in NE, though, thank God). The windchill was in the 20's this morning!:scared1: DS is dying to ride his bike to school but it's a little too clod when we have temps like that. brrrrr!

So I now have a 14 year old home. The school nurse called and it seems she hurled after PE this morning. I told here on the way home that I wouldn't be angry if she got sick in my car because she couldn't help it, but sould she please try to make it out the window? She was not amused. She is updating my ipod so she can take it upstairs to bed and watch The Princess Bride. I offered up the laptop but she doesn't want it. I hope she is over whatever made her sick. I think (hope?) it may have something to do with cramps and stress, but I'm not sure. I just know that I don't want anyone else to get it here!:headache:

On the bright side: I can't vacuum because it would disturb her rest:rolleyes1 :cool2: .

Always look on the briiiight side of life, deda dedadedadeda...
well thanks now that will be stuck in my head alllllll day long :lmao:

Haha! My neighbor (whose kids are 5 and 6 and really into the Pixar movies)is planning a trip to WDW and was asking about the value resorts. I suggested Pop and then she said she might want to stay at All-Stars since she saw the pic of the Giant Woody there. I was speechless! I started giggling hysterically and she was SO embarassed!:lmao:

Mind, gutter...you get the idea! ;)

Yep:thumbsup2 --heard that one before! Funny thing is I lived there til I was 15 and we never thought of it. Wasn't til I moved to SD that I heard about it from the boys at my new school. I was pretty clueless....

My house it is laundry.

Ok more excerise and a trip to the Dr's but still no idea what is going on with DS5.

Go to the peds, they see something on his tonsils, so a strep test, negative, so she tells me she wantsa chest xray to see if it is a lower respiratory infection. Crap, this makes me nervous.

So I ask werhe do I go for the xray, "oh right over here at the hospital" So I know this hospital well I deliverd both kdis there have had tests done etc. DS5 and go to the parking garage, it is packed, I have to park on Level 5 on a five story garage, I have never been up that high. We cant find the elevator up there so we start hiking it down 5 flights of stairs, now remember this is with a 5 yr old in tow, who has low muscle tone, endurance issues, a fever, and also possibly respiratory issues. I am freaking out inside.

So now we get to the registration desk and the woman behind the counter tells me thye no longer do OP in the hospital they bulit a Op Center across the street. She says you can walk to it. Umm no I know where it is, it is far, I just dragged this poor kid down five flights and it si frigging POURING out.

So we trudge it back to the car, at lest we find the elevator, and we go over there. We had a little bit of a wait but DS was really good. They had no books, for him and I didnt know I was going there so I had nothing. He thought it was fun that he got a wristband just like at the amusement parks.

Well Mr Anxiety did awesome and totally cooperated so the tech showed him his xray, which he thought was way cool, but Mom thought she saw something  so now I am sitting her like a nervous wreck, waiting for them to call me with the results. :sad2: They told me to call at 3 if I didnt hear from them.

This isnt even the kid who was having the asthma issues, I take him back at the end of the week!!!!

 When are these days goning to stop so you can have some peace?! Sorry it's another crappy day for you and kidlets..

My DS had a chest xray last year. He thought it was pretty cool it was a digital one so he just stood there (probalby like yours) and then they checked it on a monitor to see if it was a good pic. They gave us the CD to take to the heart doc. After the heart doc gave the:thumbsup2 aok, he gave DS10 the CD to keep. thought that was pretty cool.

Hope everthing turns out OK...I'm sure it will be. I thought DS10's heart looked too big, but not...so what do I know.

Well the peds just called the chest xray is fine. She is sending the strep test out for overnight testing and i need to keep him on the ibuprofen but if the fever goes up to 102 to call. It could be just viral.

So as nervous as I was, I fell like we are back at square one, with no answers, although I am relieved. So to say I feel a little crazy would be accurate.

mekay, my dds both had sore throat, fever, lethargy from Jan to easter break in March, it would leave, come back. This is the 3rd year this has happend so I believe it is something in the schools that just comes back around. This year was better than last year. No strep, just sore NASTY looking sore throat and fever tht would come and go. Come, home for two days, go, back for 1 1/2 days, then phone call, she has a fever. It was a mess. They finally got rid of it when we were off for that week in march. Now, we are continuing the lice problem...lovely:sick: This has been going on since Jan too, I can't mention my luck as i don't want to draw little buggie eyes to my kids....

Hope he feels better, ice pops, lots of em! And please, something to make him slleeeeepy, brandy worked back in the day  , no wonder i likes me maitais...:rotfl:

Darn, so busy talking about the kids, have to mention that i am cleaning the kitchen to a level 2 today, and made two batches of muffins, corn (iamsonotkidding) and bananacranberry. Yum, what i do for those kids.

Well since the last post before me was at 2pm I'd say page 6
