Just shoveled out the kids' rooms....

That made me chuckle. I kept telling my youngest yesterday to clean her room, I think she picked up one thing at a time for everytime I told her to do it. You can see her floor but there is a blanket over a pile of stuff I am afraid to look at because I might get mad.

My husband is home from work early tonight and he is upstairs watching tv. I don't know how many hours a week he works but alot ot times he is gone from siz in the morning til after 11 at night. I fall asleep waiting for him. I am kind of annoyed he is watching tv instead of spending time with us but on the other hand I know his brain must be fried out. It is getting so hard to balance work and family for us.

Ok I just had my excercise for the morning

DS10 wears a uniform and a gym unform on gym days. So I take him out to the bus stop bc it is raining so we are standing there under our umbrellas when the neighbor kid comes out and say didnt they switch your gym day.

Oh no! So I made the mad dash back into the house threw sweats, sneakers and socks into a bag, luckliy the golf shirt they wear goes with the gym uniform too. So then I have to run it all back out. Luckily our bus driver is a saint and she waited, my neighbor talked to her too so I told him to just change at school.

Ugh I hate rainy Mondays.

Now off to see if DS5 is going to have the fever again today or not.

So, I watched the race. It wouldn't be Talledega without a big crash. My fantasy picks suffered greatly because of that big one.

Ice cream. Here's something I found out yesterday. Edy's has once again shrunk the product on me. Do you remember when a half gallon of ice cream was actually a half gallon? Yeah, me too. Edy's was on sale at my grocery store yesterday, so my husband picked up a couple. I looked at them and said, "Those are smaller than they used to be." He said he thought they just changed the package colors... which they did. I shrugged my shoulders and we bought them. Get them home and I have an old container in my freezer. Old one = 1.75 quarts. New one =1.5 quarts. Some sale, huh? Really easy to sell it for less when you are getting less, then when the price goes back to normal we're getting screwed.

That's about all I've got. I'll try to think of something more exciting than ice cream before I come back.

Hey, I just had to stop in to thank whoever recommended "Stop Dressing your Six Year Old Like A Skank". I was alughing so hard at the first three chapters, I was crying.

At that point, DS took it and is now reading it. Knucklehead.

I love that book, too! THanks for the recommendation HRH. I read the 1st chapter out loud to DH last week and we .

We went to DQ Grill 'n Chill for dinner last night (I had an extreme chocolate blizzard instead of 'real' food) Then we had a 'discussion' with DD, who wants to quit swimming because she doesn't have enough time with he friends. All this started because I heard her playing Phantom of the Opera on the piano and mentioned that it was a shame she quit piano lessons. Now she says she wants to play piano and quit swimming I am trying to convice her that she has time for all if she'd like and that she should at least try one year of HS swimming (next fall she'll be 9th grade). Sigh! I am torn--I don't want her miserable but I hate to see her quit now when she's worked so hard to get where she is.....

On a lighter note, I am not cleaning today but I should. Maybe later....

I could at least be a little cheerier with some sun (and green grass and leaves on the trees and...) So, have I convinced anyone to come to MN for a Loser meet? We DO have the Mall of America...but I don't hold a very high opinion of it either.
