Hey everyone!

Yes queenie, I finished my work. Well the work that was due today anyway. I aced part of my ed final! We had 3 essays that we did at home, and 25 multiple choice questions in class. I got every single one correct!! I have an A on all my other papers in that class, so im hoping for an A on the final as well.

Went to Costco to get gas and water...party.

Met with my adviser for my schedule next year is all I have to say about that. Basically, I will be a crazed person next year.

Im off to do more work. Maybe watch a movie.

Checking in....yeah, I know it's late but today is my day from heck - 12 hour work day chopped in 1/2 with making dinner, running boy to baseball practice/game At least I only have 1 of those a week now - looking to quit job #2 by the fall but we'll see - it's hard to leave somewhere ya like after 9 years Plus I still get the discount & 401 so, time will tell.

I got to sleep a whole extra 20 minutes bc Ds10 has off today

DS5 still has preschool so we get him over thre but I have to pick him up early, bc DS10 has an appt witht he allergist and it isnt that close by, say a prayer that DS10's lungs are better but my mmommy gut is telling me they might not be bc of the coughing still But I have been wrong before so I will galdly be wrong if it means his lungs are ok.

Off to shower. I will be back (in my best Arnold voice)

Mornin everyone. Was gonna go back to the commissary for the big case-lot sale today but it looks nasty on the radar and I heard there was hail out there so for now I'm staying home. That's why I miss my old van--it already had hail dents, so a few more wouldn't matter.

Gotta get the DD early today. She and friends are going to walk from school to fast food lunch and I will pick them all up there, so I get another hour or so (unless it's rainy and they need a ride to lunch) but that also means no girls' afternoon for the two of us. Bummer.

Swim meet all weekend so I will try to stop in when I can!

Be careful with the GPS. DH had an employee have his stolen from the mall parking lot. He had taken the GPS down, but the thieves apparently noticed the suction cup marks on the window, so they broke in and took it from under the seat!!

Yes! Even if they just notice the ring they will attempt it...GPS are a very hot item for thieves!

Hey all, I'm home. Cooking dinner and trying to get my house up to a cleancom 2-3 because I have houseguests coming in every weekend for like the next six weeks. At least they're all related to me in some way.

Is it really a good thing that they are related to you?

I had a final presentation last night for my class- We were supposed to turn the papers in on Monday- I turned mine in on the Thursday before....he LOST it!! So much for being an over achiever!! I had an extra copy though

Sorry I haven't been here in a few days. I wasn't sure how I felt about posting in light, chatty threads with everything else that's gone on, so I sat on the sidelines trying to figure it out.

Then I realized how much I missed this and that some other threads being continually bumped up to the top were bugging me.

So, I'm here and hope y'all forgive me.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Tomorrow is Katie's first baseball game. Not sure how she'll do, but I hope she'll catch on pretty quick. They tell me she likes kickball at school.

There's 16 teams, each with their own color and uniforms. Because of Katie's coloring she looks good in just about any color except red. Anyone wanna guess what color her team is assigned?

SO, basball moms, anything I should run and get her tonight? Special socks or anything? Do ya think regular tennies will be okay as far as shoes?

I'm still trying to talk DS into being a buddy for the team, but I only expect him to come with and cheer his baby sister on.

For dinner tonight, i have a pork roast in the oven. I mixed up some salt, sugar, rosemary, garlic, red wine vinegar and orange juice that I poured over it all before I stuffed it in the oven. I'm hoping we have leftovers and can make Cuban sandwiches with it tomorrow.

Nothing to forgive. I think many of us are of the same thoughts as you. I hesitated before posting out of alot of feelings - fear, support, etc. but I have not lost touch with anyone thus far and am still awaiting the response promised us from the forces that be....

As for baseball.....DS just started this past week too and I asked the coach about cleats. I was told he could wear whatever he wanted to - cleats or regular sneakers. So for now he is wearing his regular sneakers. My sons team is navy & yellow - never knew how hard it was to find yellow socks - I wanted a spare pair so I didn't have to keep track of the 1st pair they gave him

HI TK..I think I have seen you over on one of those *ahem* threads that keeps getting bumped. I have to admit, I have partaken in the discussion. I don't know why, I think I am just in a foul mood and need someplace to complain about something..anything will do!

I was going to suggest cleats, too. My DS8 and DS10 both needed cleats (per their coach) last year, seems to help a little with traction. They make cleats for girls-the ones I saw were black and pink, I have never played baseball, I played softball as a kid. Now that I think of it, some of the teams in my boys' "Y" league have girls on them..must be because the girls' teams are all softball. I think baseball for girls is great!

Hope she has a good time tonight..stay away from those irritating threads!

I would just do sneakers for tomorrow and then see what the other kdis are doing and/or ask the coach.

DS5's tball team is a mix and my big leaguer of course is all decked out.

How did Katie do on her field trip? Did you sacrifice your bowl?
