Washington Post Slams WDW and Orlando

Sorry...I didn't think the article was anything but funny and I certainly don't think what he wrote was a "slam" on Disney or Orlando. Those of us who live here criticize Orlando more than any newspaper writer could and if you think those comments about Disney/Orlando were bad, please stay off of the Sentinel message boards. Those would give you fits if you read them.

. . . For some reason, the Post's travel section has an agenda to slam Orlando. And when the facts don't fit that agenda . . .

1) People "inside the beltway" slam anything outside of the beltway.
2) In many ways, they don't have to go to an amusement park.
3) They already live in a "fantasy land".

Wow. That is very bad planning... I wonder if that's why he probably has something bad to say about everywhere he goes. It never hurts to learn something about where you're going, does it @_@

Because one of them contacted me. Apparently he is writing an article for the NYT. I verified he was really a writer, then answered all of his questions. I never heard back from him - so I'm wondering if he didn't like my responses. We, of course, love Disney...so I would never say anything negative. Not sure exactly what he was looking for.

Wow, I wasnt aware that you could write for the travel section of a "respectable" newspaper and not even travel, or at the very least, plan before traveling (which, quite frankly, you can not plan and still not end up in the mess he supposedly did). If thats the case, I might have to put in my resume!!:goodvibes

What was I doing visiting amusement parks? Staying home will save me some cash.

Travito: You seem to have confused "respectable newspaper" with the Washington Post:)

come on guys, this article was done totally tongue in cheek, it was only distasteful to us cause, well, look where we spend all our spare time. both cyber and reality. i dont think the guy is very good at what he does from a storytelling point of view and he is not nearly as funny as he thinks he is, but, above all he was not serious.
