Best Place to stay off the beltway close to metro or metro park in ride. The last time dh and I were there we stayed in College Park, MD. We have three children and would like a suite if possible.

Any interest in visiting Baltimore while you're up this way? If so, you could stay near BWI which would offer MVA transportation to both downtown Baltimore and the Metro Lines to tour DC. If not, your best bet would be College Park, MD area or VA. Embassy Suites are always a great deal.

There is a Residence Inn in Tyson's Corner that we really liked. It had a full size fridge, stove top, dishwasher and was very clean and nice. It was 3 miles from the nearest metro stop and had a free breakfast. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

We stayed at a Residence Inn in the Dupont Circle area in early December. It was 2 BLOCKS from the metro station. We didn't even need a rental van. It was awesome!! It gave the kids a taste of what it really would be like to live IN the city! My dh gets Marriot points due to weekly travel so we paid for all of it with points. We had a blast!!!

Hi! We used to live in DC- when we go back, we always stay at Embassy Suites Chevy Chase- directly above metro stop, mall attached, and best of all- free breakfast for the kids. Also, it's in a very safe, clean area of the city (lots of college students from American Univ)- you have to be careful w/ many hotels & check out the areas of the city they're located in. HTH!
