Washington DC area (inc MD & VA) DISers

I thought that we could do a head count and find out how many of you would be interested in a mini DIS meet. Of course we'll have to get Snoopy to organize it since I'm lacking organizational skills. Just kidding about Snoopy organizing it, but not kidding about my lack of organizational skills. I thought that we could first see how many people live in this area that would like to get together and then we can vote for the most organized person.

So, how many of us are there?

I'm in Northern Virginia! My only problem about getting together is that I am going to have a baby soon and am not that mobile anymore. It would be great to have a DIS meet though!

I live in the very northeastern corner of Maryland, by Delaware. DD is at University of Maryland in College Park so I am quite familiar with the drive there and the Metro to DC. If the date worked with all the football we attend(high school and college), I would try to come.

Hey Snoopy, we're neighbors! We live in West End DC and we'd love to attend a meet too! In no way am I saying I would organize anything cause I am way too irresponsible to do that, but I would gladly help out. Now that Madison's in preschool I actually get kinda lonely in those 3 hours that she's gone!

I was thinking about that last night--the hardest part would be picking a time and date, which would involve throwing out some different dates and figuring out which date the most people would be able to attend. I'm in a local YahooGroups and we've gotten together a few times. Before our first couple of get-togethers, when discussing dates, the fur started to fly. Some people were upset because it wasn't on the date they wanted. For that, since we get together more often, we just started rotating the days that we have the get-togethers.

Anyway, it's nice to see so many in the area! Some of you closer to DC will hopefully be able to come up with a good meeting place and we can work from there. I only know Montgomery County places.
