Hi,
I have a wierd question and I don't know where to post it..

My daughter's "security object" is a stuffed Minnie doll..WHO REALLY needs a good washing! Only problem there is NO tag on her with washing directions.
She is the "usual" Disney character, you get in Disney World!
How have you washed them? Can you wash them? I don't want to ruin it..she already cried when she saw her go into the laundry basket! :sad2:

Thanks so much!

i washed one once ( a sorcerer mickey stuffie from disney store). it survived the delicate cycle when placed in a pillow case. when it came out it had a small seam rip which i repaired- not sure if it was loose before wash or not. check your local disney store for a stunt double --- with two kids i learned the hard way to get a back up of a stuffie if its their fave! good luck!

We washed a large mickey 2 times with great results. I was scared at first and looked over it first, it seemed fine to wash so I did.

Just as good as new!

Build a Bear sells a cleaner that you spray on to the bear and then rub off with a towel. This is what they recomend for their stuffies. My daughter's favorite lovie comes from there. It costs $6 a bottle but it is a BIG bottle. I used it to correct staining and dirtiness to many different stuffies from Disney on up to Boyds Bears. I also used it once to clean koolaid out of my carpet in a pinch.

I haven't washed DD's Minnie, but I have washed a number of stuffed animals. Most say "spot clean", but I have found that 1 or 2 washings isn't going to hurt them. I wouldn't wash them every week, but once in a while seems to be fine.

I wash them in the washing machine, just pop them in a pillowcase, tie it off or use a pony tail holder to keep the little guy in. Just don't dry them!!!! That will destroy the fur, think matted!

My DS is a tag sucker, he loves his mickey...it is a floppy I got at WalMart for $10...then searched for back up. He has one at daycare, one and home and a brand new one...just incase, I wash him every week, throw in with the sheets and blankets, and then throw in the dryer. He just looks more loved and smells good!

I wash dd's stuffed toys in the washer in one of those large lingerie bags. I've put some in the dryer, some I air dry. They come out great and it's nice to know you're killing some of those germs!

I was stuffed animals all the time! Just toss them in the washer, I don't even bother with the pillowcase or gentle cycle, then I let air dry! They come out so nice and clean! I love the smell!

The only ones I have never washed are build a bear and I am about to try it this week. Our penguins are so disgusting yet DS loves them! I bought more of each just in case, which he already has one of each new, but still loves the old ones too! Now he wants them ALL! Their fur is so different I was afraid to try it.
