The laundry facilities in the comfort stations here are amazing. There are five washers, 8 driers, a laundry sink, and two large folding tables. Being use to campgrounds with a pair of washers and a single drier to service the entire campground, FW is incredible. With all the rain we have had, we have used the laundry facilities far more than expected - and have never had to wait.
As this will be my first trip to the Fort, can you be more specific? Do you mean the pool/CS near the loops where all the cabins are? (i just want to be sure...)

All of the CS in the RV loops have machines in the center section, IIRC they have 5 washers and 6 dryers in each. The cabin pool building has the most machines (sorry cant recall how many) Our experience has been that the machines at the pool are almost always busy, the RV loops tend to be pretty open during the day while all the tourists are at the parks.
Make sure you bring your own supplies of soap and dryer sheets since they are expensive to purchase there ($1 for a box of soap good for one load)
The washers and dryers I used where at the cabins pool. There were right there. Just behind the rest rooms. We used them in the afternoon on a Monday and we were the only ones. Maybe the time and day makes a differences. Not sure????
