This is a new problem for me but an old problem for gardeners, so I figure someone out there can give me advice.

I have rabbits in my veggie garden and they keep eating my broccoli and pea shoots. I don't have much else out there yet (temps are supposed to be back down in the 20's tomorrow night), but I want a plan of attack before I spend more time and effort in this garden. Up until now I had this awesome dog who kept the critters out of the yard. Sadly we had to have him put down last fall, and now the bunnies are taking over.

So, what have you found works best in your gardens? I garden organically and getting another dog isn't in the near future. A friend recommended a gun, but the neighbors are a little too close by for that. :) Hav-a-hart traps don't work. I've tried. TIA!

I didn't have rabbit problem but I did this to keep dogs and cats out of our flower garden. I sprinkled LOTS of chili powder on the ground. I also used to put water in a spray bottle with Tabasco and spray the tulip leaves as the came up to get the deer to leave them alone.
Good luck with the wabbits. :)

We put up a little fence around the inside of the raised beds. They have to eat through the plastic or wait for it to grow out of the fence to get it. Which they did last year!
They ate my Montauk Daisies today. They were just starting to come up too:sad: I've tried Critter Ridder and all those sprays and sometimes they work. Most of the time it just slows them down a little. Between the woodchucks, deer and the bunnies it's a never ending battle:sad: Plant a lot of everything and maybe they'll be enough for all :rotfl:
