My Father has an old Park Hopper pass with 2 days left on it. We are wanting to "upgrade" it or "exchange it (with cash)" for a longer ter MYW ticket. He went to the TTC last week (he is in Orlando ahead of our visit next week) and was told that he couldn't do it. Do you all know how the MYW tickets have affected these protocols or did he probably just ask the wrong question? Any thoughts.

We leave on Wed. for 13 nights at POP!

Well, depending on the ticket, there are some that are not upgradable. But, if it was just a regular PH pass, there should have been no problem. Maybe it would have been more cost effective to keep the old pass? What was he trying to do?

I believe that Ticket Sales windows (such as all the windows at the TTC) cannot upgrade tickets. You'd have to talk to a guest relations person, either at the guest relations window outside each of the 4 main theme parks, or at the guest relations lobby inside each of the 4 parks.

Sorry, Syracuse, but you are wrong. Vacation Planners (Ticket Sales) have no problem upgrading MOST tickets. There are some types of tickets that cannot be upgraded, or certain tickets that can only be upgraded at GR for whatever reason. But, MOST tickets can easily be upgraded at any ticket window - I do them all day long. :)

You may not have used the correct lingo. It's my understanding that you can't upgrade a partially used admission.

You can only get a dollar credit towards a new ticket. If you had someone who maybe didn't feel much like doing his job, if you asked to upgrade a partially used ticket, they may not have gone the step further to to explain that they COULD give you credit for it. :confused3
