I noticed on thanksgiving there was no Macy's day peraid it was the McDonald paraid instead and it was in Chicago vrs new york city (sry for the spelling)

Must have been the local station or network because I watched the Macy's Parade from NY. Check with your local station.

We had the Macy's day parade in Va. I also saw the McDonalds parade advertised too. I'm sorry you had to miss it.

It depended on what channel you were watching! I can flip between the NY Macy's Day parade & the Chicago one. Usually WGN is the only one showing Chicago one.

Then NBC & CBS both have Macy's on BUT they both have different angles -- one shows more of the performances the other mostly the parade.

So, I do tend to do a lot of channel flipping during the parades (and especially commercials -- that is when I usually flip between states).

I'm always torn between the Macy's Parade and the 6ABC/IKEA Thanksgiving Day Parade in Philadelphia. I love Macy's because it's the Macy's parade, but I love the Philly parade because of the infusion of all the Disney characters. Thank God for DVR..LOL

NBC always airs Macys, as it's hosted by the Today show anchors every year. I have my daughter hooked on it now. Took until she was 13 last year, but she watches the whole thing LOL!
