Was the Country Bear Jamboree in a different place in the late 80s? I can remember not seeing the building and it was in the woods. A cast member told us to walk down this path. They played Pinball Wizard by The Who.

I have no idea if you are serious or not but could you be thinking of DL? It was kinda down a path and more "woodsy" than it is at MK. But I'm pretty sure they never played any The Who music.

I'm thinking you are mixing together two memories.

Pretty sure they would never play the Who in Frontier Land in the Magic Kingdom. :thumbsup2

Finding more info In the late 80’s, the original Country Bear Jamboree was replaced with the Country Bear Vacation Hoedown show. The Vacation Hoedown show played for a few years at Walt Disney World before the Jamboree show returned.

To actually answer your question...no...where it is, is where it has always been. Early on there wasn't much over in that corner, but it hasn't been moved.

It seems like I remember Disneyland having them in a back corner someplace but my memory isn't that powerful.

You shouldn't feel bad, however, because I was sure that they moved the tea cups from where it was originally...but they didn't.

If you've been to DL in the past few years the Winnie the Pooh ride is where Country Bears used to be.
