Was Space Mountain changed?

I haven't been to WDW in a couple of years and we're now going in April. I remember hearing that Space Mountain was closed for a while. Is it different now?

It is not dramatically different (certainly nothing near what was done at DL). The queue area has been refurbed and includes some interactive games along the way, but essentially follows the same path as before. Tracks have been replaced, but follow the same layout as before. Cars no longer have outside lighting and a roof was installed over the waiting area so you can't see them racing around the tracks while you are waiting anyway. There was some new line management (or mismanagement) strategy in place when we were there at Christmas, but that may have been an experiment or it could be the way it will be going forward, I'm not sure. The exit has been refurbed too, but appears to be only partially completed.
