Was Never Put On The Waitlist, But Thought I Was

I have a studio booked for Oct 4-8 for BW Preferred view, but wanted BC and could not get it. I told the CM I wanted to go on the waitlist, and he said at least three times he was putting me on it. This was about a month ago. Today I called for dining reservations and asked about my waitlist and the CM said what waitlist. I could not believe it. I was never put on the list. SHe said oh well I'll put you on now. I am so mad. At least i still have BW for F & W. but I hope my waitlist comes through for BC.

Your story is another example of my pet peeve with DVC: members cannot see waitlists on the member website, so there is no way to catch errors.

Yes I agree they really should have it listed somewhere we can verify it is correct and actually there.

Make sure that your WL didn't come through thus removing it. IF not, talk to a supervisor to get your priority adjusted to where you would have been. They can go back and listen to the call if need be. What they can't do is give you something they don't have even if you would have matched the WL in the interim.

That is frustrating.

I called on one of mine lately and found out that my WL was set to expire 31 days out and I told them I wanted it 7 days out. I am so glad that I called about it because I never would have known.

I too wish we could see them to make sure they are correct.

I agree I wish we could see them as well. I always call back the next day to verify I am on the waitlist.

Next time I will call back to make sure I am on the waitlist. Maybe I'll have some luck and get BCV, but if not I'm sure I'll be OK with BWV.

I have jambo house reserved for a quick May trip. We have savanna view. We waitlisted for Kidani. Specifically for savanna view ONLY. I called to add another day to it and they had us waitlisted for Standard ONLY - and at Jambo, not Kidani. The guy who helped me had a heavy accent. I would have been so upset if that would have come thru!

Will they ever make it available to us online to see our waitlists? That's just crazy.

When are you going in May, we are going May 16-20 at Jambo in a 2 bedroom Savannah. I had OKW and was on the wailist for AKV, and it came through. DH and I stayed there in Oct and liked it, Jan we were at VWL in a 2 bedroom with the kids and they will be with us in May.
