After they took down the construction fence and we saw how easy it would be to climb that wall my DH and I just looked at each other and shook our heads. We knew it was going to happen and has often. I don't know what the answer is but something needs to be done. Maybe electrify it?:rolleyes1 One night a family was standing there letting the kids climb:scared1: you really can't blame the kids if they aren't taught right from wrong. My DH is military and had no problem giving them an earful, of course they ignored him. I definately think you did the right thing and one day your DD will understand. Mine just turned 21 and works with middle schoolers, she called awhile back outraged that parents were letting middle schoolers go to Hallloween Horror nights! Now if I had said that I would have gotten the stupid mom look!:lmao: They see and hear everything we do and once they get over the being embrassed thing you'll see that she has learned well by your example.

you were right to save the kids from their own stupidity. takes a village.
I am sure that they could find something more appropriate to climb if they put their brains into gear.

I'm shocked that 4 people voted wet blanket! I think you were 100% right!

And I'd love to know how the new job is going, Peggy.

I think you did the right thing. Now had you stood there and yelled at the boys yourself, that would have been a bit much but anonymously pointing it out to a security guard, no big deal.

It's interesting that none of them have voiced their opinions on this thread, eh? :lmao:

I agree with what you did. Lord only knows what possesses people to do crazy things like climbing up fake mountains when they could do so with a rock climbing wall at a gym.

You did the right thing to report them.

:thumbsup2
As "mom2boys" I appreciate it when someone saves my children from themselves. Mine are 13 & almost 15. They live for the moment with little regard for their personal safety or their mother's grey hair. Sadly, my two boys have more sense then my 34 year old brother!

Sure you did the right thing. You were concerned (rightly) about their safety.

Thanks all for your opinions. Sometimes, I think I'm getting old and maybe not as open to things as I should be. I'm glad most of you agreed with my choice. After telling DD about your responses, she's decided maybe I was right after all.

You definitley did the right thing!
