Was anyone at SSR for Easter?

I was reading about some of the Easter activities they had last year. We'll be arriving the day before and I'm trying to decide whether we should go to a park Easter morning or just hang out at the resort. I know the parks will be crowded, but it's DD9 birthday and I want her to at least get a birthday pin and show it off at one of the parks that day. Will the kids have fun staying at SSR and participating in the Easter activities?

It was super-busy at the parks on Easter! All the locals visit on the holidays, too. If you were to go early it might be OK...but then you would miss the Easter egg hunt, which is very popular, too. I returned to the hotel around noon, when it got REALLY busy, and spent the afternoon at the pool, and even played minigolf around dinner time when it cooled off. I had a good time, but you have no idea just how busy it actually is on Easter, unless you have also experienced Christmas Day at the parks, when they actually close the parks.
