WARRIORS!!
Tearing it up huh?? July is here and I think most of us are just trying to get in some miles without completely melting!
Jim: Sorry to hear about your Tri!
Jennifer: Fort Wilderness - Cool! Stayed there a lot as a kid when my family had an RV. I remember going over to River Country also (which isn't there anymore :-( ). Great memories though!
Michelle: Yeah! Staying with the pushups and situps! I am repeating Week 4 but doing column 2 this time. Its really kicking my butt or I should say arms

even bothering my wrists a bit. Oh well. Situps I am on Week 3 column 2.
Jen: Kid in the office - Kudos to you! Neat that you created another runner.
Stacey: Hey Amiga! Walk with DD to the rec program sounds like a great way to get the miles in!
Marcia: So you got your schedule all set for Goofy? I guess the DL 1/2 will take care of itself? hehe

It's almost time for you to start!
Sarah: Yikes girl - glad you didn't get lost out there! Have lots of fun!!
Kate: Switchin gto new brand of shoes can feel like you are "breaking up" with your old shoes. GOod luck though and if they help you out, then welcome them with open arms.
AFM: I put together my training schedule that gets me to the Spacecoast half in November and then the half in January. I "officially" start 8/16!.
I did 4 miles this morning and then of course I had to try out my new bike!! UPDATE: Ok, so I was told by a few people that my calf issue may be from using too much of the lower legs when jogging. I was told to run more with my butt. ?? Then I had my boss and another runner lady say what they mean is to use more upper leg when running. Think of raising the knees and hitting your butt with your feet, this way I use more upper leg when running. Let me tell you that I am glad there was NO ONE around to see me trying to figure this out this morning. I must have looked very hilarious, however when I looked down at the Garmi I was in the 8s for the short amount of time I was using this "technique". hmmmmm JEFF - I may someday get to be as fast as you!! hahahahaha. Just for only a .12 of a mile here and there, but better now then with my "other" technique. Just very different than racewalking. Racwalking takes pretty much the entire leg, from the hip down to the toes.
So I did a first bike run of 6.66 miles. Nice ride!!
So totals for today are 10.66 miles and time total of 1hr:33min:19sec!! Whoo Hoo!!!
Have a good weekend everyone!
