Kate! Congratulations!

You really flew and did better than your time goal! This is great news. I'm so happy for you and very proud of you too!

YOU ROCKED KATE!!!!!!! Way to go!!!! I hope you are still flying high adn not too sore. ;) CAn't wait to hear all about it!

Good Tuesday Warriors!!!

April Showers, well I had my fix early this morning. Woke up to some rain, thunder and lightening! So I just watched the radar on the weather.com website. I finally saw it was going to clear so out I went. If you haven't noticed I am off from work today (hehe Jeff!) Got in 4.10miles. Back home and trying to ship out a camera I sold on Ebay.

How is everyone else doing, anyone in a slump or stuck in a rut? I hope all my fellow Warriors are hanging in there. the best way i find to try and keep myself active is to sign up and/or register for some race or local charity walk in your area. I have two charity walks coming up to support two different causes for two of my co-workers!! One is this weekend for the March of Dimes and its a 6 mile walk over near Fort Lauderdale Beach. Should be fun and will last most of the day!

Take care my friends!!

Tracy

Tracy... grrr, I want your schedule!

Heading out the door myself. Taking sick leave since I get it. And I need it!

I am proud to say...We have a BOSTON MARATHON FINSHER IN OUR GROUP!!!:thumbsup2 WAY TO GO!!!!!

Tracy - I wish I had your schedule also...I need to change jobs...oh wait, I have too much fun at my job also. :)

Jeff- get some rest, no need to rush back to training. Your body needs to recover...too much play time at the Masters:rotfl:

I got a mile on the TM today before my weights...my arms are a bit sore and I'm not going to be able to lift them tomorrow! Love that feeling!

Tomorrows HUMP day! :yay:

KATE! I am SO PROUD OF YOU!

Hi team! I haven't posted in weeks, and I am so sorry about that. Life has truly taken over for me. But I have some miles to post, and will update the spreadsheet one of these days!

Now, now my Aloha Jeff!! You may want to change your mind about having my schedule. Yes, I may work 4 days a week and no weekends, but I do work on pretty my every day the school is out, work on most holidays and most school breaks. So see, it may not be all that exciting. Plus, hard to actually get the time and days that I WANT off. Now, pleas go take care of yourself. Take some much needed time to recover. Probably all that flying on airplanes with recycled air. Can make a person sick you know.

Tracy

Hey kids-

Did 3.75 yesterday. In the interest of babying a recurring blister on the outside of my big toe, I put on one of those special blister bandaids. It did keep that spot nice and happy, but I now have a ginormous blister on the bottom of my toe from where it rubbed funny. Overall, it didn't work out so well... I might be taking today off...

OK, so looking forward to Kate's report!

hey lovely warriors. Thank you so much for tracking me and for all of your wonderful comments and good wishes. They definitely kept me going. It was such a privilege to have so much an amazing team behind me and reading those posts afterwards almost brought tears to my eyes so thank you!

Again, more congratulations to Kate!!! We're all so proud of you!

And a bit of healing pixie dust to everyone out there who is under the weather! It seems to be one of those months.

The official results for my 5K on Sunday went up yesterday, and I did squeak in at under 30 minutes - 29:36, so I'm happier about that. Apparently I'm not built for speed. :rotfl:

Also, we made the decision over the weekend to run the Rock and Roll Seattle Half Marathon as part of the Joints in Motion Training Team for the Arthritis Foundation. We'd been meaning to get a nice big charity event under our belt this year, and it looks like, with other commitments, this is our event for the year. We chose the Arthritis Foundation as both my parents have struggled with arthritis for years; also, I spent a year counseling one of my middle school students, after she was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis and was forced to stop doing what she loved, dancing ballet. I can't imagine how heartbreaking it would be have your dreams crushed by an illness in this way, at such a young age.

Happy hump day, Warriors!

Going to read your report soon Kate.

Uh oh, we have sickies in the house.

Get well Jeff and keep those germs to yourself. No presentee-ism needed here. Just post with masks and gloves on so I don't get your germies.

Good luck with the blister Jen.

Tracy, you are an event machine. Good for you that you have all those fun events to play with and they keep you moving.

Sarah, the board rules state you must get permission from Pete (boards owner) in order to fundraise. His contact info is on the first page of the boards if I recall. see item #3 in the forum guidelines. His email is linked there. I'm glad to hear that you are doing this event for charity. Best WISHes for your fundraising.

Hey Lily, I do try to keep moving and that is one way I found to do just that. I f commit and/or pay to register then I MUST do it and follow through.

Sarah: Great job with join the Joints in Motion. Good Cause!!

I did a 30 min Shred tonight so more time for me!!

Racey Tracy

Jeff get well soon! Your lungs sound very poorly so take good care of them. Remember to hug yourself once a day, your lungs will feel loved and appreciated then!

Tracy def is the way to keep yourself motivated i agree. It's just fantastic how many local events you have.

I updated the spreadsheet from last week- he he it looks like i ran 52.6 miles. hmm. Went for a swim a short time in the hydro pool to loosen off these muscles. Any tips on when it's good time to run? Was guessing when it doesn't ache to walk but that may take a while!

Tracy: I'm totally subscribing to your newsletter. :rotfl: I didn't think that something as small as a local 5K would be enough to motivate me, but it is. Even if I'm not working on distance, I'm definitely working on speed, which is something I need more of!

Kate: I can't imagine how stiff you must be! First marathon, followed by a trans-atlantic flight? YIKES! :scared1:

Also, after a quick "chat" with Pete, the link to Joints in Motion is back in my sig. I'm excited; the added challenge of fundraising is really motivating me, and I'm trying to come up with some creative ideas to make some money for the cause!

You actually heard from him! I'm thrilled to hear that. Great news!

I'm taking the dog out after supper, coming home and packing the car for CMM. Leaving early in the a.m. Friday. It will be an 8 hour drive and a quick turn around since we come home Sunday. I'm looking forward to testing a new adventure. And some WISH Team members will be there too.

Lily: Hoping you will catch this before you leave.... Have a great trip, enjoy yourself and safe travels!!! Nothing better than a WISH meet with a race thrown in!!

Jeff: Hey there dude, how are you feeling?
