Warnings on Candy Bars!?

You got me thinking wondering if Peanut Butter put that warning on their labels too. The jars I have don't but we have Nutty Bars in our cabinet that say ON the package "with extra peanut butter" on it.

I flip it over and sure enough there is a peanut allergy warning on it. Umm...OK. You would think that would be really obvious.

Wellllll technically....PB doesn't contain nuts....'cause it is a legume.

But I'm sure there are some jars out there that do contain such a warning. If Milk can have a warning, I'm almost positive some PB does as well.

Now I'm going to have to raid the cupboards to see if any of the "treats" inside contain warnings. If there are no warnings I will not know if they are "treats" and I may have to eat them. Watch out cupboards, here I come!!!! :Pinkbounc

Yep. Or the one on the electric drill that says, "Do not place drill tip in nostrils".........no really! It did!

What I find funny is that this had to have happened for them to put it on the drill. Some people need to give up their Darwin token as DH puts it.

As for Chocolate our gym/health teacher will have a field day with this one. He believes everything will kill you the first time you eat it. No soda, coffee, tea, candy, processed foods, sugar, etc.... I have to re-teach my kids everything in moderation.

I just enjoyed a delicious Almond Joy bar. I was looking at the wrapper and saw this warning written inside, "Candy is a treat. Please consume in moderation."
I've never seen candy warnings before and think it's pretty sad. They probably need to put it there so that people can't sue them for not telling them that candy is only a treat.
What will be next?
This is one of those Duh warnings....Like at McDonald's Coffee is Hot.

Chocolate is like men, we only love it because it is not good for us.

If there are no warnings I will not know if they are "treats" and I may have to eat them.
:rotfl:That's really funny!

And thanks Tag Fairy, I think ;) That quote does apply in so many situations.

I noticed that on our peanut butter too. :rotfl: What is even funnier is that it is all natural organic peanut butter from the health food store. You have to KNOW there is no artificial nut flavoring there!

I love the warning on the commercials for sleeping pills like Ambien, etc. that say not to drive or operate heavy machinery after taking it. Like you'd take a sleeping pill and say, "I think I'll go for a drive until I fall asleep." :rotfl:

My favorite is when the ads for sleeping pills say something like "may cause drowsiness, ...". Well I would hope so since it is for a SLEEPING PILL!!!! :lmao:

:thumbsup2 I heard that the other day & did a kind of "did I just hear what I thought I heard?" kind of scratching my head on that one with it being a sleeping pill. I was baffled by that because it wouldn't be doing it's job if it didn't...OH...wait notice it says "MAY" so we are understanding it wrong. It's a disclaimer in case it doesn't cause drowsiness...it's just saying that it might or might not. NOW I get it. ;) :rotfl: :rotfl:

I noticed a warning on a can of aqua net hair spray (for haunted house use that stuff will make any hair stand strait up! and it's cheap! :lmao:)

It had a no smoking sign a picture of a knife stabbing the can and a picture of a lighter held infront of a can being sprayed. Ok somebody has watched the orriginal buffy the vampire slayer movie one too many times. :rotfl:

I noticed that warning on my peanut butter cups, too! How dare you tell me when i can and can't eat them! Such meanness! ;)

I think the world took a turn for the worse when they made Cookie Monster sing that "Cookies are a sometimes food."

to me that warning works as well as the one on hair dryers telling you not to operate in your sleep......DUH

That came from someone trying to use a hair dryer as a space heater.
