remember to put sunscreen on even if the wind is cool and you do not feel the sun burning the skin ......I am fried.......I am feeling like I have cold chills and someone is putting pins in my flesh.......I feel awful.....do not do what I did......I was foolish.....we made a rule that if anyone wants to go in our pool they had to have on sunblock.......so the owner of the pool goes out today and does not use the sunblock......I know I am a numbnut......do not do what I did please.....plus I feel yucky now......

And don't forget the stuff for the lips either. I forgot and all of me survived with a little burn, but my lips are scorched. :o

I hope you sleep well Pumba. Sunburn stinks. :(

Oh Pumba -- I hope you feel better soon. Sunburn is no fun. Drink lots of fluids to keep yourself hydrated.

I'm so sorry Pumba! You MUST get some aloe vera and rub it on constantly. As soon as you feel it's dried....rub more on. It will lessen the pain and may keep it from peeling.

Feel better soon!!!

Ouch Pumba! I feel for you girl! I still remember the nasty sunburn I got when I was about 12.

My lily white skin + River Country in May + rough unsoftened sheeted at the Days Inn in Kissimmee = one terrible night of pain!

Make sure to drink lots of liquid and take some Ibuprofen. Hope you feel better in a day or two.

Take some advil - and sprinkle lots of baby powder on your sheets before you get in.

That sun was wicked strong today!

I'm sorry you feel yucky, Pumba. Take a bath with red vinegar and take some tylenol. That'll help with the burn and the pins and needles feeling.

I got sunburned last weekend, but I forgot about it. I took my puppy outside to go potty and I looked at my arms and they were all scaly. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with my arms. Then I remembered the sunburn and felt like an airhead.:o We were out of town so I couldn't soak in the red vinegar bath, if I had, I probably wouldn't have peeled.

it was a long night.......just laid in one position......first it was cold and then I was boiling....then I was freezing.....I think I will remember not to do this again.......and use good sunscreen

Pumba, I am so sorry. I hope the pain goes away soon.

Just as a public service announcement, you should wear sunscreen every day, sun or no sun. Your skin will like you later. And don't forget your lips.

Gold Bond cream helps when it gets itchy after a while.

We must be twins, Pumba! Couple of really HOT tamales!! :p

I'm someone who sleeps on my side every night, but last night the only position that didn't hurt was flat on my back. Needless to say I didn't get any sleep either. So now I'm sore AND tired...wow, my poor DH!! :p

Pumba sending some cooling aloe your way, and some Pixie Dust too!

Good advice and reminder, Pum. I always use sunscreen in the sun and barely ever have a hint of color change. 10 days at WDW and nothing, and that is great. And the hat for the hairless too. I always do that, but did not do the hat last week at the Indy meet at the zoo. Only a few hours was enough to get me a light peel.

Have a great holiday week, Pum.

Yeah, don't forget the lips! :bounce:

Brushing my teeth last night was pure you know, this morning it was a little easier.

I hope you have a good night's sleep tonight, Pumba. :)

Another suggestion is to soak a soft cloth in tea & lay the cloth on the burn. I got a really severe burn at the beach once (with sun block, on a dark blanket, under a beach umbrella, right through my clothes.) I didn't realize it until we were on our way home. Fortunately, I drink unsweetened iced tea & still had some in my thermos. I soaked a cloth in the tea & laid it on the burn. It did help a bit with the pain, but I also found that the areas I treated (that hurt the worst) did not blister like the untreated areas did.

I'm sorry you're in pain with this! I certainly can feel for you.
