Hi! I live in England. I have some wonderful friends who live in NJ and I want to send them a Disney themed Christmas gift. I saw a light up castle on DisneyShopping.com that I would love to send them. However I was worried when I saw the warning that was printed with the product description (see below) . My friend is not going to becoming pregnant so I dont know whether to be concerned about the warning or not. What does it mean? Any insight?

Thanks,
Mandy ::MinnieMo

WDW Tinker Bell & Cinderella Castle Light-Up Holiday House
$60.00 (Item #44313)

WARNING: This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer, or birth defects or other reproductive harm.

Anything that contains lead must have this warning. I wouldn't worry about it too much, unless the person plans on sucking on the pieces.

LOL :rotfl2:

It is just life!!, everything causes cancer. I would say dont worry about it!!

Thanks for your relpies. In England you don't see warnings like that, except on cigarettes so it startled me a bit!

I guess I will buy it then.

Thanks!

It's definitely a California thing. Too many activists, too few causes. Funny story: when I was putting air in my tires at a gas station there I noticed a sign along these lines: Law XXX states that if you purchase gas from this station they are not allowed to charge you for air. If you are charged, contact this number. My DH and I had a good laugh over that one.

Hope your friend enjoys the castle... :earsboy:

I saw this exact same warning on a jetway at John Wayne International Airport in California. There was no warning on the package of peanuts they served on Alaska Airlines -- however Southwest Airlines peanut packages do contain warnings that the package contains peanuts.
