Make sure to put new batteries into your Pal before you take him back to WDW.
Last month I brought my Pal Mickey back to WDW for the first time. He had his original batteries and was working fine--until I took him through the turnstiles into Epcot for the first time. He started to vibrate--which is good--but would not stop and spoke gibberish when I pressed his hand.
Into the first gift shop we went. I was directed to the "Pal Mickey experts" who were so wonderful to us. (I am not a kid, just a "big kid"). The "doctors" thoroughly examined the "patient" in the diagnostic area. They decided he needed new batteries. They told me even if the batteries seem ok, Mickey uses A LOT OF POWER when he receives the new download upon entering a park. It took some work, but a wonderful CM declared "The operation was a success and the patient has made a full recovery!"
The two CMs who helped me were so kind and patient, and they refused payment for the batteries. I was so thankful to have Mickey well again and delighted with their very charming treatment. Lots of magic in WDW last month.
