I posted this in another thread, but please be aware that Florida Orlando Tickets is not the place to buy your tickets!! They look legit, but they are not able to get Disney Tickets and they have taken my $515 and I am having to go through a dispute procedure to get it back. Please Please Please use another vendor!!

wow - we have never had a problem with this vendor. sorry about your problems. If you used a credit card, get the credit card company to help you.

Sorry to hear about your troubles, cab. I imagine that you will get real help with the Orlando authorities, they frown on scammers like this (gives the area a bad name, you know). Good luck.

For a legit savings, try Ticket Mania (http://www.ticketmania.com). You will be able to save a few bucks anyways.

On our last trip we ordered from them with no problems and they were delivered to our hotel

What exactly happened - did they give you counterfiet (sp) tickets?

The problem here is that they vastly overestimated the number of tickets that they would have and oversold. Then their merchant accounts were confiscated. They are down and out as of now and I am stuck with no tickets. Thank goodness my bank is fighting for me, but I have no learned the hard way to NEVER use a debit card for something like this!

Follow this link to see that they are not selling, but believe me it is not because they are upgrading.

Sorry, our posts crossed, I didn't get counterfiet tickets - I got NO tickets at all!

Sorry Cabowser - you should go to the State of Florida's Website then to the Attorney General's site, and file a complaint with their Consumer Fraud Division. It don't know what good it will do know as you said they are down and out; but maybe the Attorney General can stir up some heat.

Good Luck

That's crazy!! They took your money and didn't deliver the product??!! I would also go to the BBBand report them there. I hope your bank works it out for you, just keep fighting! $500+ is a lot to be out of with nothing to show for it. Keep us posted.

Wow! That is surprising to me. I have used them in the past with no problem. I hope you get your problem resolved soon.

From what I was told by the owner, everything was fine up until the new MYW tickets started selling. Then FOT ran a special where you buy a 4 day base and get a 6 day base. Well, you know how sales get people moving, they did $500,000 business on those tickets.

Disney apparently sells allottments of tickets to it's authorized resellers and gave them 324 tickets! Not enough to fill that order. The company was unable to give back the money due to it's merchant account being closed and the customer (me and I am sure lots of others) were stuck.

I kept calling them and spoke with her again and she said the tickets would be in the mail the following day, I waited --- then tried calling that Thursday and their phones were shut down. There was a blurb on their website saying not to contact them by phone because they can't receive incoming calls. Uh oh.

So I emailed and got no response. That was when I filed for my dispute. I ordered on March 24th. Now their website says that they are not taking any more orders. Not good.

Disney down the drain...and so is my money. I am really hopeful that the dispute process will work.

Jan,

This is awful! :( I cannot believe what you're going through. What is your bank doing for you? Do you think they can get your money back? When are you supposed to go to Disney? Please don't give up hope, you'll be amazed what can happen with prayer and a little faith. :teeth:  Please don't take this the wrong way, but that's why I'm so careful with where I make purchases with my debit card. DH and I don't have a credit card and we NEVER will, we are debt free for the first time in 3 years!! :cheer2: :cheer2: If it's my first time ordering from someone, I make a very small purchase first to see how it goes. I know that sounds strange, but if it works out, I increase my order to what I want the next time.
However, NONE of what happened is your fault. This company allowed people to order more than what they could supply and now you can't contact them or get what you're owed! WRONG! I hope someone works this out for you. PLEASE....keep us posted!

Blessings,

Denise :flower3: :rose:

I just re-ordered my tickets this time from Disney and asked for the expedited shipping. Can't wait to get them!

STILl going to Disney!

So sorry to hear about your tickets! Five hundred dollars is alot of money. I hope your dispute gets settled soon. I'll say a little prayer for you! :lovestruc

Many banks are giving debit transactions the same protections as credit card
transactions. If your bank gives you the run around then switch banks after this is resolved.

It's very deceptive for the banks to be issuing debit cards with the VISA and MC logo without disclosing the legal differences.

You made a mistake -- using a debit card.

If you used a credit card, and no merchandise whatsoever is delivered or no service whatsoever is rendered, it is an open and shut case, just follow the dispute procedure on the credit card bill. In addition, in this case the credit card pucrhase does not have to be in your home state or within 50 miles of your address.

I'm sorry this happened to you! I hope it gets worked out. Maybe your bank will help.

Thanks to the DIS I know all about the evils of debit cards!

My bank recently started charging me a $1/month fee & I didn't know why. First they said it was because I have a debit card (I don't) and then they said it's because I could get a debit card at any time (I won't). They finally said it's because my ATM card (which I rarely use) could be converted to a debit card at any time. It didn't make any sense, but it's the same as the $12/annual fee they used to have for an ATM card, and they got rid of that, so :confused3

I beg to differ about debit cards! I had 2 tix from Detroit to Orlando on a now defunct airline bought on a debit card and 2 bought on AmEx. A few weeks prior to leaving, this company's flights were being halted due to safety violations. I immediately called my bank. I had to submit a disput letter and a flight confirmation with my debit card # on it. We arranged 4 new tix on Spirit. Midweek of our vacation I called our telebanking # and sure enough we were credited back our $400. I have never had a problem with my debit card and use it for just about eerything I can. I hope you can resolve this issue. Go and have fun at Disney!!

Your protection on credit card transactions is BY LAW. Most of your protection on debit transactions is by bank policy only and may change at any time and may vary from bank to bank.
