Today I called to make a ressie for the tea party. I had spent all last week waking up early to get the ADRs we wanted including CRT and Storybook Breakfast and we were successful. We decided DD6 might like the tea party so I called today to see if there was any availability for friday 10/7. There was, and we completed the transaction, and something told me to check our other ADRs. Well, as we started going down the list and all was fine for a couple of days. Then for Wed 10/5, they had no record of storybook breakfast. When I gave them the conf# they told me it was for the Crystal Palace. I said that no, we had no ressie for Crystal Palace for the whole trip. Then they told me that that conf# belonged to another peron for the Crystal Palace and they couldn't find my reservation.

I won't bore you with the details which included the CM asking me to call the Akerhas myself to see if they can do anything (what?), but eventually I asked for a supervisor. She said she would search for a ressie for another day. I told her that certainly she knew the little kabuki dance we all do by getting up early and planning our dining 90 days in advance (which in some ways is really stupifying as I don't even know what I'm having for dinner until 5:00 on the same day, but I digress) and how that further tended to dictate park days, etc. She said she could get me a Princess Storybook Lunch that day, which I did not want, but took.

Anyway, don't mean to sound ungrateful. Just want to tell everyone to check your ADRs, because this could be really dissapointing to a child who gets all dressed up and is ready to go, and you find out there is no ressie when you arrive. I would have been really irritated if this happened with CRT.

Thanks,

Joanne

mommykds -

We had a similar story to yours. Our name was so mangled on the reservations that they were almost impossible to find. And our telephone number was mistyped. Fortunately, once we found out what our "new name" was we just went to each restaurant using that name.

We just got back from WDW and a similar thing happened. I had called dining from one of the parks to see about a lunch ADR for the next day. I made one for Concourse Steakhouse. A few hours later we were switching our plans around and I called back to cancel it. The confirmation number I gave them pulled up another family's Princess Storybook Breakfast reservation. We triple checked the number and the CM told me that the person who booked mine had given me the wrong number.

crisi the same thing happened to me, and I thought we had it straight but it took two more calls to get it all worked out I agree with OP check your ressies/ :flower:

Why oh why can't they give us some online access to view our dining reservations? I've sometimes made them 90 days out, then cancelled some, made others, and so on and so on until I'm not sure if I cancelled all the ones I didn't take! (I don't try to make double ressies for any meal). I'm frankly afraid to let them pull up the reservations thinking they might cancel the wrong ones. Wish there was some way to have online access to it once they are made - in order to view and cancel them. Perhaps they'd end up with fewer double reservations that way.

Thanks for the heads up. I just called to make sure that all of my ADRs were listed. They were (thank goodness).

After I read this thread I was a little nervous because I had cancelled some and made them for another day.

It's easy to see how the original mistake happened. Chances are the CM was looking up another restraunt for the Guest, some how they may have gotten side tracked, and thought they selected the right restraunt. It happends, until you've been on that end of the phone, please reserve your judgement of the persons taking your order.

Please, Please Please, write down the information that you are given. Once the CM has pressed Clear, they don't see it unless they look you up by name/phone, Date or ressie number.

It is not written into the system infrastructure that guests can see what's available. If it were, there would be a LOT of false availability. I realise that a lot of people get frustrated, but imagine the person on the other end of the phone. You want to book 90 days out, you have 7 different days, 3 meals a day, and you jump around. IT's easy to get confused.

yes, I've been there.

My husband owns businesses and deals with the public all day every day, and I know it can be a grind. I also knows what he goes through to remedy errors. I just wanted to post in order to give a head's up to others so people can check their reservations and aren't standing at a restaurant 3 months from now with some very disappointed children.

In my case, I made a ressie for one place at one time, but got someone elses confirmation #. I did write it all down, that's how they were able to determine that the confirmation # was attached to a ressie at CP, not Princess Storybook, and that it was under someone elses name. Others have posted other types of errors: a misspelled last name, a transposed phone number--those I understand. This error was very strange. And don't forget my CC# was given because it was the Storybook thing. I really believe that my reservation exists somewhere maybe with a transposed phone number or something, and not only will I never get to use it, but my CC will be charged because it was a "no show" and I didn't "cancel".
