Have searched for the answer to this question with no luck so I apologize if I am repeating a previous thread.
For my Mother's b-day, we were hoping to bring her on the Wanyama sunset safari. We are all big wine and food people and had planned to eat at Jiko anyway, however, my Mom has some serious food allergies and generally is afraid of prix fixe menus or otherwise limited options. For instance, she has a wheat allergy which is serious enough that she can't even eat from something that another person has dipped bread in (like butter or olive oil, for instance). I have read that ppl meet the chef of Jiko while eating the Jiko dinner following the safari. Would we be able to contact the restaurant with a list of things she can't eat? Would they be amenable to making a special menu for her?
Finally, could someone who has been describe the wine pairings they were offered for the safari? Were there glasses with each course, were they quality wines, etc? Would you recommend this safari for serious foodies? (I love Jiko otherwise).
Thank you so much!
