Want to hire an american SAT NAV?

I know I am new here but by the time I go I won't be lol. I was thinking about buying a tom tom/garmin sat nav from usa, and then upon my return lending it out to people from the boards?

Would you be interested in this.. it would be done on a trust basis, just pay for the postage and that would be it?

Hi - do you know that you can use a UK tomtom in the US? All you need to do is download the maps off their site (costs about £30) and then you just plug yours into the car as normal. Ours was great when we went

or download a mapfrom a torrent type site,put on a sd card,cost less than £10

thing is with my tom tom it doesnt have a card thingy.. just internal memory.. so going to buy an american one its cheaper than the cards on ebay

Sounds like a great and very generous idea, you could just lend the sd card to other people who already have a sat nav.....if thety are all compatible between systems....which i dont know

BigPockets were doing 2gb refurbished sd cards for about £2 a few days ago
