But Missouri does! I was trying to figure out how I got paid so much this time.. Maybe they are raising it because I did an event for SPI on 4/1 for 70 and this time for my event 5/5 I got 80! Both in Missouri.

I live in Vermont, but my stores are in NH and I get the higher rate.

Here's a question:
I have co-worker that has started doing this......also w/ SPi..yes competition but long story on how she found out I was doing this.
Anyway, she said she did her first events this past weekend. She told me she felt uncertain about buying all that they said to buy in the beginning so she bought about 1/2 then went back later and bought more then swiped out also.
I was under the impression you could only swipe IN and swipe OUT?!
I told her she really needs to buy all that they require in the beginning but she seems to think she'll do this everytime!?

It is fine to buy less than the stated amount if the store does not look busy or you know that store is not a busy store. Then, if you need more you can purchase more. As long as you do not go over the amount on your card/amount they told you to buy. Leave enough to swipe out too (75 cents.) I always include all receipts with the paperwork. You can use the MC card several times.

I know florida defeinetely does, i think about a dozen pages back or so was the official email some one got, maybe try doing a search to see.
sorry i tried searching but couldnt find it with the search tool thing, maybe someone who got the email can copy paste? i dotn have access to that at work.

Anybody else get an email about a pay increase? An additional $10 on the base rate... YIPPEE!!!!!! Apparently only for select states... ME, NH, VT, MA, RI, CT, NJ, DE, DC, MD, PA, NY, VA, NC, FL, HI.

For those of you inquiring about the states receiving the $10 additional pay, I found this from 3/1, post #4658, page 311. There might be more info/discussion around that time if you care to browse.

And that list of states is only partial. I think we had someone from CA who also received the increase. The event co-ordinator who wrote that email probably only listed the states she covered. No one seems to have been able to get a full list. And I don't buy the explanation that the raise was given for legal reasons. Sounds odd.

Grrrrrrr. I went to active my MC Card for tomorrow's Betty Crocker Seasoned Skillets & Nature Valley Cinnamon Cereal event and received a message the Event ID was not valid. Logged into ebooking and find the event was "unbooked by you" this morning - which I didn't do. Sent an email to Taylor for an explanation.

Well, Daniel booked my first DOUBLE event. It will be on Thurs 5/31. 2 events at the same store. He wants me to start at 10am, run event for 3.5 hrs, call in results, activate card, them I'm taking a break, and run next event for 3.5 hrs.

One is Honeycombs (offdate) & the other is Green Giant Simply Steam vegies (on-date). I didn't ask, but do you think it matters which one I do first? I was thinking cereal from 10am-1:30pm, then vegies from 2:30-6pm. I'm using 1:30 - 2:30 to call in results, reactivate card, go to car to swap kits, get microwave & take 1/2 hr break....hopefully. I'll get manager signatures either during event if I see one, or both at end of day.

Also forgot to ask if I lose $10 because he had to book the 2nd one for me???

Its still a good deal for me since this is my 40 mile (+ tolls) store. I'll get paid for 10 hrs, but only work 7 hrs & only have to drive there once. Plus microwave pay.

Ya know, if I get 80 for on date & say I only get 62 for the off-date, divided by 7 hrs work....thats $20/hr. WOW!!!!

I spoke to my contact at TMT today & during our conversation I mentioned that SPi pays more. She was surprised & thought they paid the same. Hopefully we will see an increase from TMT.

I think doing the cereal early is a great idea. I would imagine that people would want eral in the am & veggies L8R. $20 an hour s awesome! There aren't many off dates where I am. I am also noticing that i have some competition as events are going quickly.

Grrrr.. first I've noticed that either I'm not getting the same jobs posted as others (neither the pepsi max or the wm event - red baron I think) or I've got some serious competition... I'd bet $ that it's competition... I ran into a Promoworks lady last week that said she finally signed up w/ MC because another MC person kept asking her to since she got referral $... Guess who it was - yup Stalker lady (the one that coerced me into giving her my # & kept calling & leaving me messages)..

Then I decided to book some off rate dates, one being Monday... I just noticed that it was unbooked this morning... no email saying it was cancelled & it's no longer available online... darn it if they accidentally unbooked me again (it's happened before) & someone else booked it out from under me... I'm going to be PO'd!!! I've got WDW in a month & wanted to make as much $$ as I could before the summer slump kicked in.

I understand wanting the referral $ but the more competition that we make for ourselves the less jobs will be available and we make more working the events then referrals!!!

I've given out at least 4 cards I think to other demo people trying to give away my 40 mile Walmart Supercenter. Not one of them has signed up yet -- and one lives in that town & does demos every day for multiple companies. Or they didn't use my referral #. And that particular store has 5 events sitting with no one booking them. I've booked some there, but trying to not drive that far unless I have to. I'm already working at closer stores or already have enough off dates & can't take anymore. However, that is the only WM around that seems to go uncovered often. Targets are often left open. And someone stole my local Kmart & she's fast. Either that, or they aren't having demos anymore there.

The other day I got to Wal Mart, had my table set up and this demo girl from MC comes up to me and says, Oh both of us are doing the same event today, I was like No I don't think so, What are you doing, and she said the Yoplait, I was like Can I see your paper with the address on it, she let me see it and she was at the wrong Wal Mart, I felt bad for her, but all the same she had the map quest and everything and still ended up at the wrong wal mart. Also she came in and bought something for .75 cents and then she was going to buy the yogurt... I told her, no don't buy something for .75 just buy the yogurt.. I told her just to call and let them know she went to the wrong store, and then maybe she could just work a little longer and get paid for the day.... Not sure if that would work, but this was her 2nd time, so maybe they will... anyway... More competition, I guess I will just have to be quicker!!
I'm doing the Betty Crocker skillets and cereal today. Hope that is fun...

Yours is still on? Mine was unbooked yesterday (and not by me) and I've sent an email to Taylor with no reply yet. I've got an off-date for this next week too. And this would only be my 2nd off-date in 3 months if it still executes.

Yes, I guess it is still on, it was not unbooked, I checked last night when I read your post, but my was still there... Sorry about yours, almost wish they did unbook me... That is one of my biggest fears. Driving to the wrong town. I counted up the other day that I've been to 15 different stores, and sometimes I just get it in my head that I'm supposed to be at one town, when really its a different town. Luckily, I've never actually showed up at the wrong place.
