They just added (or re-scheduled) some of last Sunday's Target events here for this coming Saturday. It was the Archer Farms Orange Macadamia Nut Bars event that had product issues....and when we got to the store, we learned we were doing AF Italian Soda instead. Check your area incase they re-scheduled / added some too.

Oh yeah I just saw that too this a.m. The penne pasta kits for my local target was scheduled last sunday and nobody took it so now its this saturday too. I dont book the 3closest targets stores for fear of running into too many people i know..lol...i book the third one like 10 miles from me, yes i have 4 within 10 miles of me..hehe but unfortunately no supertargets!

Is this even worth it if there is no Target near you? All I have is a wal mart and a k mart.

It sounds like there is hardly anything available anywhere but Target.
The closest target to me is 60 miles.

I got an email from Daniel with SPi about open events at Walmart stores. I am with TMT and none of these events were showing up on Staying connected.
I emailed him and told him what I was interested in and that none of these were coming up in my search. He booked the ones I wanted and told me to go online and print store reports and event instructions but nothing is showing up when I log into staying connected.
I am pretty excited about being able to get Walmart stores. I haven't had one since November 2006.

I think you'll need a different (from TMT) userid and password to access your SPi events. Your email from Daniel is probably in response to the email from last Friday asking TMT'ers if they're interested in SPi events.

Mobile Sampling Tray events are badly planned if you ask me. That tray is divided into 9 squares. I have 2 different bottles of lotion to sample out. I have a box of tissues that doesn't fit into a square on the tray. Where do used tissues go? I have 650 samples of 7 other KAO brand items to hand out -- 1 kind at a time as to not run out. Where does the ingredients warning sign go on a mobile tray? (Stick it to my ugly yellow visor again?)

It says to bring hat & apron...yet they gave me a ugly yellow vest & visor. I think I'll wear black apron because every time I use one of those black mobile sampling trays, the black rubs off on what you are wearing. Ugly yellow vest over it. And visor. No hat. And ugly yellow button -- somewhere. BTW.....NONE of the ugly yellows are even the same color. Fashion faux pas for sure tomorrow.

It could have been worse.....I could have been doing cereal & bars on one of these dumb trays.

I feel your pain, my mobile smple event a while back i was handing out copons for toothpaste. Imagine i had toothpaste boxes hanging all sorts of ways on that sampler tray, they wouldnt fit, so yes sometimes I wonder who comes up with this stuff....

There is nothing here to book either..... A very slow time I guess.... I have a few things booked coming up but really wanted to go ahead and book for April... Oh well, Hopefully soon!!!

I too wish we had the SPi id's and passwords. Friday will be two weeks since the emails so hopefully it won't be much longer.

I booked Target for this weekend through TMT as my 1st event. The payrate is $48 b/c they had to book me over the phone as it is my 1st event. I didn't realize this would be the rate. I am a bit confused??? I have signed up with Mass Connections & TMT, I recieved my id & password from TMT & it is to be used on the staying connected site. I know I sent my info to 2 different places but I am now wondering if they have merged or if i'm just incorrect. Could someone please let me know if TMT & MAss connections are the same?

To simplify it --Mass Connections is the main company. TMT, SPi and the others are contracted through MC to actually staff the events. So while you 'work' for MC you are actually emplyed by TMT> Make sense kinda???

As for the pay rate--they give you extra pay for booking online so when you book your first event over the phone you don't get the online booking pay. Also I am guessing you booked a 4 hour event ---normal internet booked pay is for 4 hours is $54...at 5 hours it is the $70 you hear bantered around so much.

I'm not showing any events either. Is this a slow season? My first events were so great and I can't wait to book more. I got an e-mail today from SPI saying if I want to book more than one event per day for this weekend to call and they will set it up. What events? There are none!

I'm also waiting to get paid. It's been nearly two weeks. How long does it normally take?

With TMT it takes 3 weeks to get paid, I don't know about SPI.

I've been complaining about no jobs in this area. So I just got a call asking me if I could book the Archer Farms coffee for this Saturday. She told me to look online and book, but I was looking at the website as she was telling me this and it wasn't there. I refreshed the page and it still wasn't there?! She said they put it on there yesterday. So she ended up booking it for me. So now I wonder, will I get paid for an off-date booked by them or full pay?
At least it's a job. More money for my WDW trip.

I'm home from the Walmart Supercenter Grand Opening. OMG - THAT STORE IS HUGE!!!!!!!!!! 210,000 sq ft. The largest in the state (there are only 5 -- 2 opened today). If you said "run down back & get me some milk", I would reply "we don't need milk that badly". There could be such a thing as too big. There isn't a store around here even remotely close to how big this sucker is.

Event went well. Feet hurt. Back hurts from that stupid sampling tray. Gave out all 650 samples. Sold nothing. Everyone really just wanted to come see the new store.....or grocery shop since Walmart Supercenter is a very new thing in this state. Everyone happy & in good moods. I could not wear that ugly yellow vest. It was WAY too small....and it looked really bad since it was so small.

Lots of companies doing give aways. Characters walking around. There were having trouble with the lighting all day. It would dim, they would bring it back up. LOL It was like the sun popping in & out from behind the clouds. And no one could hear the PA system at all. They said it was fine when no customers were in there....but you can't here any pages today. The parking lot & outside isn't finished. It looks like they rushed to open.

DH & I are going to go there this weekend to compare grocery prices. Better pack a lunch in case we get lost inside. lol

Oh, a high school girl was trying the lotion & she tells her friend to take a picture. lol Turns out they've been taking photos all over the store since she's writing an article for the school newspaper. So, she emailed me "our" photo. I didn't even have to use my own camera today.

I'm not working again until 3/30....and I'll be at this store again.

I know about that huge Walmart, it is like it's own city or something. We just got one here that replaced a MALL! It is as big as the old Hypermarts that they stopped builiding years back, but now it seems it is back! At least you get paid!

I am not sure how you can contact them, but you may want to look around the site. We all work for a couple of different companies within the Mass Connections umbrella, so I do not know who you should talk to. Does anyone else have the phone number for the main company?

LOL, yes, I had fun. I guess it was a little hard to tell.

Oh, and it was really funny to see people from other local Walmart stores coming in to see the store. They said they all heard how HUGE it was & needed to come see for themselves. lol Yup, everyone says its huge.

hey guys, I just got my first kit today. i have a table, trash can, hat and apron and an eventguide. Should I have received my MC card with this?

Another weird question. I actually have a MC card from when I was signed up with All About Events. I never actually did a job b/c they never had anything near me. I wonder if I am supposed to use that? I'll send an email off tonight. Anything like this happen to you guys?
