Actually, on my instructions it does mention certain items - but then it says that nothing is to be brought into the Super Target. If something is missing, then there are times that a demo person will go out to their car (some seem to have it filled with demo equipment!) and will use their own. But I don't know if we are really supposed to do that. And it's rare that I've not found something - I did Q-Mos a few things like a meat thermometer, but I asked someone in charge first! And the management or another demo person will tell you about the demo area - once back there, you remember it. :)

I agree with the above poster - and that is a reason I like shopping at ST as well. I wish they paid their employees more, because they really work hard! ST is effecient in trying to help guests, and they set up the red phones in case noone is around. Our ST is super-strict on picking things up (not to me in particular, but I do try to keep the area I can see clean - even if it's not product from my table on the floor and such). When you listen to the walkie talkies on the associates, they are always mentioning about cleaning the bathrooms, greeting all customers (asking if they need help) and cleaning the floors and such. Oh, and the Target Credit Card, that too.

Reading about all these ST's I was remined about something-
Saturday I was in a ST and saw a demo lady, have seen her before, but have never been close enough to hear her speak.......she can't speak english!! Very little anyway! She was trying to tell an employee something and they could NOT understand her!
I don't know what agency she works for but you think they would have checked this. I believe she was asian. Not sure if she ever got her point acrossed!? :confused3

Mass Connections hires anyone. It is up to the stores, unfortunately, to weed people out.

Well I wish MC would hurry and let me know what agency I'll be with...if any?!? :confused3 I woud love to have the jobs at ST but I've never seen any listed. Now of course nothing is listed.............. :sad2:

ST supply everything including a white chef coat.
You bring your hat (if you don't want to wear white chef hat that falls off every few minutes) and MC Card.
I have been to 5 different ST in my area, each one has a stocked demo supply area behind the deli or bakery.
I had been at the new one all week, only saw one microwave the whole week long (and same one week before, when they had been open only four days).
I know other MC ladies had to QMOS a blender and electric fry pan, plus oil spray, foil and the like because there were not any in demo supply.

I wish they would hire a demo manager.. or assign a team member each day to be in charge.
Then we won't need to wander the store looking for product (lots of stocking issues, no featured product or very limited) , guessing where supplies are (they keep rearranging demo area, restock with one sleeve of portion cups at a time.. I use one package on a slow day and there are 3 of us needing the same supplies) and trying to find manager to sign out each day.

If I could bring my own supplies there would be no issues. I love ST demos, just wish they had consistency at every store.

I mostly do super Targets aswell, and of course people ask us everytime where something is, I told a customer to pick up the red phone and ask customer service. WEll the next week, we were given a map of the store and a list of common products with aisle numbers. ST is really particular about how customers are to be treated. So true that is why I like shopping there, even if you look lost, some one is going to ask you can you find something.

I was browsing the local Super Target this morning while the employees were stocking. I must have had ten people ask me if I needed help.

Just got my 3M kit... Let's just hope the display is there so I can execute!

I agree, Target is so far superior in customer service than Wal-Mart or K-Mart. There really is no comparison.

Yes I love how the ST people always ask if they can help me find something! Even if I TRY not to make eye contact w/ them, they'll ask! :thumbsup2
There is one wal-mart in my area that is very good about asking if they can help me and if I ask them for something, they'll take me to it, not just point so I really think it's all up to what the store manager expects of them! Sadly, not too many managers at WM give a crap!

No kit yet. I'm going shopping this week & plan on looking for the display. Hope it's there.

Good point... I think I'll head over there tomorrow or Wed to see if it's up yet... Not sure what the harm is doing the event without the display :confused3 As long as they have product..
Besides, it's not like we are going to be selling alot... the brochures say something like Save up to $13.00*! (*details inside)... you have to go online to get the coupons!!! I really wish they would have just put the coupons in the brochure! Duh... why spend the $ now with what could be an impulse purchase, when you can go home & print out the coupon & say to yourself, "do I really need this?"

No instructions and no kit yet for a regular Target event Dove Cool Moisture/Lipton Ice Tea (odd combo, not sure if Dove is lotion or new soap.. take care of your hands and enjoy a cold iced tea when it's 30 degrees out and snowing :lmao: Who thinks of these?)

LOTS of ST events in November on the weekends (missing 11/18 and nothing beyond 11/25). Picked up deli events during Thanksgiving and Black Friday (we don't do much for Thanksgiving and it may be amusing to see the rush of shoppers on Friday)
Anxious to keep my schedule full, picked up an event at an Ulta store (beauty/make up store) on 12/9 for Mineral Sheers. Nothing else up on schedule for all of December. I don't wear makeup on a daily basis so I was hesitating to click BOOK. DH did event last time it was offered at a Walmart and he said it wasn't too bad.

I'd love to do an event at Ulta! Thanks to the Wine events I'm doing OK for bookings through 12/22...

Well, I got my check for the Totinos/Chex Mix event I ran a couple of weeks ago, and I'm not happy! I only got paid $60, when the pay should have been $76! I ran the event on the original date, e-booked, AND used a toaster oven. Looks like they paid me the off-date pay rate, and didn't pay me for the toaster oven usage. Looks like I'll be on the phone in the morning with TMT :sad2:

Not sure if your stubs look like mine from SPI (ADP), but the equipment is listed on the left hand side & a bit easier to miss. The event pay breakdown is listed on the right hand side.

My first equipment stub I thought it was wrong too, but it turned out right when I added everything up.

No help on the off date problem though.

That IS pretty weird. :confused3

The mysterious wine event just opened up here. Had to take the test (which I did with my PDF file still open :rotfl2: . Hmm they said we would be paid for the training module. Well, I'll see how that goes!!

Newbie here. I have my first event this Sat at a Schnucks for a soup promo. I haven't gotten a kit or anything. Should I have gotten it yet?
