Glade Flameless Candles: I sold 12 candles & 3 refills MUCH to my surprise. I didn't receive an unscented oil bottle, but I ran the candle with the light on anyway.

Want to hear something funny? Apparantly people are MORE willing to pay the sale price of $8 than pay just $4 using a coupon. :laughing:

When I was setting up, I saw 2 packs of brochures. Stupid me just assumed they were all the same. Don't know why. I put out 1 pack of brochures - the $14 in coupons booklet. I sold 6 candles at $8 (sale price) in the first 1.5 hours. I WAS VERY SHOCKED at my success rate compared to the low # of people I actually talked to - especially since there was no scent. :laughing: For some reason, I decided to look at the other package of brochures & realized they were Flameless Candle brochures & $4 coupons. DUH!!!! So, I taped coupons to everything. It took me another 2.5 hrs to sell 6 more candles at just $4 - with more people saying no after listening to spiel. :rotfl: :rotfl2: :confused3
I didn't have the actual blunder you did with the coupons but I sold 6 more YESTERDAY (when they were at full price) than I did on saturday when they were $8. very odd.

I didn't even realize we were supposed to get an UNSCENTED thingy in our kit, I just assumed it was like the Glade Lightshow where we run it without the fragrance. People loved the flame aspect of it and once I showed them how to insert the refil in they were appeased.

Did two events today. Sore am tired but would do it again if the opportunity presented.

First the Curves cereal and granola bars at Target. Stock was low but I sold all but 1 of each. Great coupons made it easy to sell. Went very fast although usually when I only offer dry cereal everyone wants milk--today when I had milk only like 3 people wanted it!

Then went to Kmart to do the Soft and Fresh. Wow, what a bore of an event. Most of it was that the store was DEAD but no one was particularily interested in toilet papaer and air fresheners that they cannot smell! I did sell some TP as I had a coupon to lead in with but the airwick was hard to get people to stop and listen for a minute.
That is sooo not good to know! I am doing 4 offdates in a row starting today after my "real" job... working from 5am-3pm doesn't make the 4-8pm shift at kmarts any better if they are boring... But at least some of my former co-workers are at these stores I am at this week, so it makes it a little easier.

LParente: I WISH I knew when things were going to pop!!! I feel like I spend a lot of time on the computer just checking. Although the hint a few pages back about offdates at midnight on Saturday was helpful! (None last night though)
No no no you mis understood what I was saying when I was mentioning that... The events go OFFDATE at midnight PST whenever the ONDATE event is seven(7) days away. mine just happened to be an ONDATE of a saturday so that made the offdates happen on a saturday as well.

So you need to look at the original dates and count 2 days back. For instance events scheduled for Sept 1st will go off date on August 25 at midnight Pst.

Me too, i finally had this one person who was very rude about not being able to smell it from the machine it self... I finally decided to cave in and tell this person that it is giving out a scent and he should be able to smell it. So to further my stance (now this only worked because at stock guy was a friend from HS) i had a worker lean over and smell inside the box and he said, "yes I smell it too... french vanilla, right?" the person leaned back in and said, "I can't smell anything... :lol: we were both cracking up... after the person started thinking they were losing one of the senses, i opened it up and showed them nothing was in it. Teach him to get an attitude with Mr. Kotex ;)
 
I did beef skewers this past Sat and it just wasn't my day!!!

Yikes, sorry about your day! Last time I was at ST, that happened to a new MC person too, I think it was bacon wrapped chicken and it would not cook at all without being thawed.

Please note that the photo you submitted does not comply with SPi
requirements and a new photo/headshot must be submitted immediately. Failure to
submit an appropriate photo may be grounds for termination.

In order to provide SPi with an acceptable photo/headshot, follow these
simple rules:
* 2x2 inches in size
* Taken within the past 6 months, showing current appearance
* Color photograph
* Full face, front view with a plain white or off-white background
* Between 1 inch and 1 3/8 inches from the bottom of the chin to the
top of the head
* Taken in normal street attire
* Uniforms should not be worn in photographs except religious attire
that is worn daily.
* Do not wear a hat or headgear that obscures the hair or hairline.
* If you normally wear prescription glasses, a hearing device, wig or
similar articles, they should be worn for your picture.
* Dark glasses or nonprescription glasses with tinted lenses are not
acceptable unless you need them for medical reasons. A medical
certificate may be required.

Guess competition is getting tough. I just went to check my calendar to see if I was clear for 9/2 and the event was snatched :confused3. Grabb those events when they pop up or else. pirate:

Oh, I apparently screwed up on the Glade Lightshow demo too, because I DID put the scent in. Guess I need to learn to read, huh? Had employees complaining about the smell after awhile. Come to think of it, I didn't sell many at all at that demo. Maybe 4?

So, apparantely it is easier to sell UNSCENTED than it is to sell scented. :lmao:

I'm doing toilet paper & airwick thing tomorrow too. Boring. But its only 4 hrs for some reason. 12 - 4.

I haven't received an email like that....yet. But I did have to take a photo like that of my neighbor & edit it down for some kind of boat license or something. I would do the photo, then replace the photo thats in your profile, & reply back by email that you did it.

I wonder what they need such a specific photo for.

My MC card activated w/ no problem and my report had today's date and my name. Any idea why the event doesn't show up on the pics page?

Events show up the day after you do them. So tomorrow, you can load todays photo.

You won't see the event list anymore as a completed event with 1 point. But it is in the pull down menu. You will get 1 point for the photo.

Lost me there. If you take the photo with your digital camera, you can crop it & size it to be exactly as specified. :confused3 At least that's how I did my neighbors. For him, I even had to print it out to a specific size to attach to an application.

No need for a scanner if you have a digital camera.

Are you saying you don't know how to edit a digital photo to have you face a certain size & the cropped photo a certain size?

Thanks for checking in with me about this. We are requiring our Consumer Connectors to have a photo because in the future we are going to have name badges made for everyone. It does not have to be a passport photo, just a picture that is of you from the waist/ neck-up and in color. You will not be terminated if you do not submit photo, your "web-rights" would be be taken away, meaning you could not go and book events online. I hope this helps and if you need any other information let me know! Thanks!
