Want to buy..still unsure of where.

BCV = love the location to Epcot and the Studios....not sure if SAB should be a factor for us as our kids are all teenagers now....thoughts on teenagers and SAB anyone?

My almost 18yr old dd decided to have her 18th birthday at WDW this past July. We did a split stay between BCV and VWL. The girls decided that the BCV was a lot more fun because of Storm Along Bay. Remember, there might be grandchildren in your future!:goodvibes

We bought at BLT due to location. The monorail gives access to not only MK, but the restaurants of the monorail loop (the best at WDW, except maybe AKL) and then it's just a monorail ride away from Epcot. Yes, the front gate of Epcot, but then it just wouldn't be our usual vacay without a mad dash through the park to make it to dinner! And our kids think the monorail is one of the best rides at WDW. :rotfl:

We would like to add on someday at either BWV or BCV, for that easy access to Food and Wine.... But if they do ever build at the Poly, I can't think of a place that would make my DH happier. We split up our contract 100, 50, 50, so we could sell off the smaller ones if needed.

Good luck deciding!

What are the quick service in each location....I know VWL has roaring forks right? And AKV has a decent one too I remember. My kids are older and it is great being able to send them to eat on their own.....are some better than others.

For BLT, the quick service option, Contempo Cafe, is located in the CR building. It is very easy to get to via the skybridge from BLT.

AKV has Mara, which is located in Jambo House. If you stay at Kidani, you have to visit there. I believe that it is about a 5 - 10 minute walk.

BWV does not have one but they do have the Boardwalk Bakery. It has sandwiches and things and is small (can't eat inside)--not what we consider counter service.

As you mention, VWL has Roaring Folks which is nice. Even from the villas, it was no more than a 5 minutes walk.

I am not sure about BCV or OKW. SSR does have one (Artist Palette). The distance depends on which section you are staying in.

I have only been to BWV, VWL, and BLT. I thought both BLT and VWL were easy and the food was good. Two of my kids preferred VWL (more traditional fried stuff) and one of my DD and I preferred BLT.

Good luck!

Do BLT, AKV, BW have dedicated queens or fulls in any of their 2 bedrooms?

iirc OKW is only resort where there is definitely 2 queen beds in second bedroom of 2 bedroom villas in both the Lock-off and Dedicated units. BWV I thought does not have dedicated 2 bedroom villas only Lock-offs so the 2nd bedroom would be queen bed & sofa bed that sleeps 2.

Which ones are difficult to get into during December.

December is extremely popular at all DVCs due to points required early in month, holiday decorations & holiday week - New Year. If you plan to travel in December you'd want to book at 11 month owner's priority booking window.

Oh one more....which (if any) resorts DO NOT have a quick service dining option....in the resort itself.

All DVC resorts have quick service locations although most have that location a short walk from where the villas building is located which is the case for BLT, AKV-Kidani, BCV, BWV, VWL, OKW & SSR. By "in the resort itself" I am presuming that maybe you mean quick service that is in a location in close proximity to where elevators to villas are without having to step outside ?....if so, then AKV-Jambo really only fits this description with Mara and at BWV it's The Belle Vue Lounge for breakfast.

Hope this helped some :goodvibes

I can only speak on OKW as it is the only place I have stayed. Our children are grown so we liked the quiet, relaxed feel of OKW. You park right outside your room. The bus transportation was not a problem. We had a short walk (less than 100yds) to the bus stop and rarely waited more than 5 minutes for a bus to come by. The rooms are the largest and we had no problem sleeping 4 in a Studio. I am torn between OKW and SSR but then again, I like the proximity of BWV and BCV to EPCOT and MGM. Not sure about how crowded the elevators get at BLT. Oh woe is me...which one do I choose?! :sad2:
