Want to buy at BCV -**Updated**- I bought IT !!

I was offered that same exact contract last week while I was there. Those guides are so full of stuff!

Congrats.... you needed to buy where you wanted to stay. Me I plan on paying less per point and maintenance and stay at BCV too! That big steel mess is going to keep me coming back for years!!! And while I won't mind staying there, I needed to be able to book a one bedroom that could hold five and that is the main reason we bought there. But our heart is with BCV!

Congrats, I know how very hard it is to make that decision. We almost bought those 160, Feb 09 points that day. But I just couldn't bring myself to do it!! Glad I didn't because now you have em!! Enjoy your trip in June! We were just visting the BCV and the pool is amazing!!

Thank you for not buying these points !! I think it was alittle easier spending the extra knowing that I was going to spend that 2200 for Carribean Beach Resort before all of this even began.
My sister ( my neice is 10- never been on a plane) - looked into doing the same thing with her inheritance - she had heart palpations when she saw the prices - she said it should include airfare and food too !!! She is really out of touch ! But my DH keeps reassuring me that in 6-8 months when her money is gone and I am laying on a beach at disney I will again be reassured of my purchase - I hope he is right !!

Yes we have a trip planned in June that we are cancelling and then going in August. We were going to use the matching SSR points to do August, but now I think I like the idea of spending the same amount of money and getting more points.

Did you just book DVC for June with your points you just bought??? Or were you already an owner. Where are you staying in June??

Believe it or not - I literally called up DVC three days ago - told Gib we were coming in June for a trip wanted to buy 160 points at BCV and stay there for this trip in June. (First time buyer) He put me on hold called reservations and said - it is on a 24 hour hold for you, talk with your DH to be sure of the perticulars and call me back tomorrow. Three hours later I called him back - put down 2500.00. The next day he called and said everything was ready and he was going to connect me with guest services to transfer the room from hold status to me. Three minutes later I was And staying at the BCV instead of paying 2200.00 to stay at CBR. This literally took place in two days of time. I never thought it was possible since I first started reading about the timeshare store and realized it was going to take 8 weeks because of disney having first right of refusal. I was a little down- thinking I could not complete that in time to make a reservation and would never be assured that I could even get a reservation at that short notice. DH had said - just buy a resale that will have points coming for 2010 - but no not me- I was on a mission ! And it must have been meant to be because even I thought there was going to be no way there would be avaiablity for 11 days straight at BCV. But I am glad I was wrong,

You can refill at Hurricane Hanna's near the pool and inside the resort at the marketplace.
Again, i'm not big on math, so i'll let the others answer the purchase part to your question.
Enjoy your new membership! We own at SSR and AKV, but always try to get to BCV instead.

There is a mug refill station in the Beach Club Marketplace, located inside the hotel gift shop just past the lobby elevators. (There is also a very small quick service location there - sandwiches and gelato.)

Welcome Home! You will not be dissapointed with your purchase at the Beach Club. It is absolutely awesome. The biggest probelm you will have is when you leave already wanting more points

oh, the Beach Club usually does have a long wait list. some UY seem to be better than others. I have April UY and we have been very lucky with getting points and not having to wait too long. I have read about others waiting up to a year for points!

I just got a fed ex box from DVC today - colorful catalog and point guide plus a DVD. Hopefully I will have time to watch it tomorrow!
