Want to admit the nerdiest thing you do?

I love to read about British history, loved Jane Austen even before it became popular to (high school days many, many, many moons ago), and I work in a library. I really like opening the boxes of brand new, never read books and weeding out the old, well read books. It's the cycle of books!

Great. So if I don't put down this Jane Austin novel I'm reading, I will become a nerd?

If you took away the nerdy parts of me there'd be almost nothing left.

However, I think the nerdiest thing I ever did was go to a showing of the extended versions of all three LOtR movies on the day that Return of the King was released. Yep, spent all day in a movie theatre watching orcs and hobbits battle it out. I did NOT, however, dress up for the event. I have some dignity.

Let's see, I...

- post regularly on a Disney World fan site  ;)
- have been known to spend hours at Barnes and Noble
- watch Travel Channel and Discovery Channel
- regularly use the local library
- love sci fi
- have two Loverboy songs on my iPod
- subscribe to Entertainment Weekly, Mental Floss, and Time

Yep! I'm a nerd. :thumbsup2 I'm probably even a geek or a goober.

See now I thought that would be a cool thing to do. :sad2:

Maybe it was once, but now I'm almost 25... Oh well, still fun! :cool1:

I accepted my inner nerdiness long ago!

Oh yeah, and I love to sing the theme song from "Revenge of the Nerds", and every other song in that movie, esp. Lamar's rap song.

"Clap your hands everybody, and everybody clap your hands!
We're Lambda Lambda Lambda and, Omega Mu!"

I'm a software engineer, DBF is an electrical engineer and we met in engineering college. I love Buffy/Angel. I own and watch the dvds often. I own one of the cast scripts from the last episode of Buffy. It's framed. I used to enjoy calculus. I liked doing derivatives. Matrix calculations were fun sometimes.

Oh, and I LOVE my Commodore 64!! Now I want to go home and set it up again. I guess that means I have to clean off my desk.

OMG, I'm a nerd too!

I have and use my library card weekly, and look forward to it!

My dad brought me over a new garden book last night and I was as excited as a 3 year old with a bottle of bubbles.

Read my tag == I grow roses and cross bread them and won a blue ribbon for them at the county fair. I enjoy sitting at home and kniting. My SO is mortified when I talk about these things.

I was in a Drum & Bugle Corps as a teen/young adult (Color Guard Captain - thank you very much) and love to go see a competition when they are in town.

I watch PBS, Travel Chanel, TLC, and the History Channel more often than I will admidt.

I LIKE wearing my glasses.

My favourite muppet is Dr. Honeydew and his assistant.
I also have an online schedule so I know what my friends and I are doing each day. I don't really like constantly calling people.
