"Want some cluck with your moo?"

Might as well serve just the roll. "Hybrid" hotdogs are pretty tasteless.

Even at Casey's?????!?!!!?! :scared1: Might as well shut it down and put in another generic gift shop.

Sounds like the poor defenseless hot dog is another victim and has fallen on the Disney sword to help pay the $4 billion for Marvel.

Oh that sucks, I hope it is not true. First they replaced the buns with "wheat" buns and now this. I was looking forward to a Casey dog in December!

oh that's great!...they can now reduce the price of the hotdog:laughing:...like when they took characters out of LTT and kept the price the same...lol

OK at least the wheat buns can be justified as being better for you and they actually have more flavor and are not any cheaper. Changing from beef to "hybrid" doesn't make them any better for you, it just reduces the cost for Disney. Probably the preferred alternative in both cases would be to offer both so the customers had a choice (probably ought to have veggie dog as well) :rotfl:

Considering a majority of hot dogs (except for Kosher hot dogs) are made of processed beef parts including corpuscle and cartilege, and an FDA-approved number of insects and bugs -- that's not a joke, look it up -- adding beef/chicken hot dogs cannot be any worse. Besides, no hot dog will ever achieve extraordinary status unless it has been charbroiled, and since no CS or TS in WDW cooks their dogs over an open-flame grill, it's all moot.

If they're adding them so people had a choice it would be OK but they are replacing them! All beef hot dogs have a much better image than chicken/beef hot dogs do, they may not be any healthier but they do have a better image.

No, the Disney wheat buns SUCK!!! When you eat a hot dog or a cheeseburger, you want a SOFT bun. All beef dogfs have more of a "sausage" consistency and flavor, where chicken/beef dogs have a weird, smooth texture, and no flavor.

This just goes back to personal preference, my wife and I actually prefer the wheat buns. We do agree with you on the hot dogs however which is why I found the best alternative is probably to offer a variety of bun and hot dogs to satisfy various peoples likes.

Seriously, if you eating a hotdog does the minimal nutrional value of the wheat bun really matter? I know some people prefer wheatbuns, but I wish Disney would offer a choice if we want to get a healthy bun or not...I can't stand wheat buns. Doesn't really matter now though, since I can't stand beef/chicken dogs either.

I have to say any wheat bun I have had at WDW (hot dog or hamburger) has disintegrated before even half through. (Including The Wave.) :confused3 They must be full of air so they won't be as dry and cardboardy tasting.
I would have to agree with the chargrilled. :thumbsup2
Although I ate a decent burger on flat bread at Sanaa last Saturday. yummy. :)

For myself, I take this as a minor change. One of my favorite hot dog chains (Hamburger Stand / der Wienerschnitzel) did this a few years back, and although they have also offered an all beef dog too, I'm fine with the turkey dog. I'm sure the one at Disney is alright too.

As for the bun, it's been a few years since I've had one at the parks, but I'd assume that a wheat bun would have a little more nutritional value than the regular, white (wheat) bun. As for the quality...I'm sure that's debatable depending on who they get 'em from. I tend to avoid eating too much wheat, but I know from years of reading about it (and gluten) that the unbleached, wheat bun is better for the average dog eater.
