Thank you Disboard. Had I not read the free dining bounceback reports, I would have missed out. I did not receive a flyer, so I called downstairs. The CM told me that I need to call mousekeeping. I called them and they told me to call reservations, and they told me there were no free dining promotions.
Before checking out I went downstairs and sure enough, there was free dining bounceback offer. I would not have pursued it had I not read it on the Dis first.
:cheer2:

Sorry, I guess I'm late to the party again! what's a bounceback offer?

Yes...please someone answer this. I have been to the World once a year for the last 3 years. I have never gotten anything, before we leave offering anything???:confused3

There are flyers in your room which offer a discount on your next trip IF you book before you leave.
For example:
Free dining-you book your room at rack rate and get free dining. To figure out your rate, go to WDW.com, put in your dates w/out dining, the quote is what you pay.
There are different versions of the bounceback offer. If you're at WDW, check the DIS to see if anyone has a bounceback offer just in case you don't have a flyer in your room. If there is one, pursue it as the OP did.

Thanks for answering that for me! So, there is not always a bounceback offer available?

You're welcome!
Right-it's offered more at some times of the year. If you have a trip planned w/in the next year, I'd definitely check into it. WDW is having more offers than usual and I'm sure that it's due to an upswing in room vacancies.

I wanted to second the thank you. When I was in the world, no one at my hotel knew what I was talking about. I stopped by another resort after breakfast there and asked their front desk and got the code. Thanks again for the heads up.

You're the bomb!!! :worship: I'll be scouring my room before we leave!!

Take the phone number and code with you in case you don't get the flyer.
The number from your room is 8844. The code is DJX.
It is good through October 24th, if you book before you leave the resort. The dates to return with free dining are August 23rd through October 1st, 2009.
Even when I went downstairs the Cm said she did not know about a free dining bounceback. I asked for a supervisor and she gave me the code. Had I taken it with me, I would not have spent so much time trying to get it.

I'm glad you were able to get bounce back! I'm hoping they have some sort of bounce back deal when we go in December.
I also wouldn't have known about the Disney Visa free dining offer if it hadn't been for the Disboards! I never got that e-mail from them.. :confused3

Thanks for posting this!!! We usually can't take advantage because of our daughter's school schedule, but you never know!!
Good luck everyone!!!

we stayed in the cabins sept 9-17 and we had to ask mousekeeping (she didn't understand english very well) she kept trying to give us toilet paper and paper towels :confused3 finally my husband followed her out to her rolling cart and there they were a whole bunch of them and she said sure take 2 so we did. before we got them though I had called the front desk and they didn't know what i was talking about and they switched me to someone eles who also said there are no promotions at this time:confused3 I wish Disney could get some honest people here as the flyer stated that you needed to use it before Oct 24th 2008. So we are booked for next year:banana:

I would also like to thank the DisBoards because it's
the only way I would have known about the FD BB.
No Flyer in Room at POFQ, was not told about BB when checking in
(like last year), nothing on TV.
I also went to Guest Services and asked about
packages for this time next year and CM had to go
and run off a copy of the flyer for me.
Thanks everyone at Disboards!!:flower3:

We are BB for FD 9-12 ---9-20--2009
Maybe we'll see you there!!

I was at POFQ also and saw nothing about the BB. I wasn't in my room when I called CRO and also was told no offers. Then I got transferred to someone who could help me. I got disconnected and called back and again went through the same "no offers, we can't help" before I eventually got transferred again.

Then it takes about 20 minutes to make a reservation for 2 people. Why does WDW make it so hard to make reservations???

We were at Pop 9/06-9/13, and there was a bounceback flyer in our room. I knew we wanted to take advantage of this offer. Due to an accident I had, our plans were all discombobulated! However, I did remember at the last moment and had my DH call before checkout time on our last morning. He booked a moderate for next year for just the two of us with the free dining bounce back offer. We added 2 days to the package, so it will be 7 nights/8days instead of 5 nights/6days as advertised.

DH received an email about our reservation. It is not itemized, but the total is WAY more than it should be for only adding 2 days.

Did the fact that he added 2 nights negate the offer?

Or did they maybe charge us for the dining plan, instead of giving us the free dining?

DH will call, but just wondering what you all think happened?

Yes, they are the same.

We've had free dining 3 times and it was always the Basic Dining Plan which includes 1 TS, 1 CS and 1 Snack per person per night, just like normally, only FREE!!

I just noticed our BB price seems way higher than $58/night (booked Pop). System is down now so I can't check but I am starting to question this:confused:

Do you know if there a way to check online if the reservation was made on the phone?

I also wonder if my DH mentioned when he was talking to the CM that he was booking the "free dining bounce back offer" or if he just said he was making a reservation. He's never made our plans before.
