Interesting. Cancelled the 04a extended veranda aft cabin and now a 04a shows on website but it is Guaranteed. Why would that be since I really believe only one is available.

Because, if DCL can sell 4 guarantee 4As they will as long as they have one available. Just means some people may get an upgrade.

Ok. Thanks! I was thinking that someone who likes that big balcony with 2 lounge chairs would grab it. It's a shame if they can't be sure to get it.

Once a category reaches a certain percentage of staterooms booked, DCL switches to selling it as "4A GTY" which means you agree to allow DCL to assign a stateroom. It's done to allow for flexibility in filling staterooms and maximizing lifeboat space. I would assume that category was already at GTY status before you cancelled, therefore your stateroom goes into that pool as well. They won't resell it at "your" price anyway, it's at the prevailing rate.

Sorry you had to cancel so close to the sail date. I hope everyone is OK.
