Well, you can't really have a bad day at WDW, but what a day! The day started out well - we had reservations at Cinderella's Royal Table, something our 7 yr old daughter was bursting with excitement about. Everything was planned..PS # - check..Autograph book - check. Pen - check..Camera - check..film (yeah, we haven't gone digital yet) - check..extra camera battery - woops...wouldn't you know our camera died the minute the princesses were approaching our table. My quick thinking wife was back in a flash with a new battery courtesy of Disney's fine stores, so disaster averted. Next, I lost our park hopper passes..fell out of my pocket on Peter Pan and never recovered them. One trip to City Hall and an hour later...new hopper passes (Disney was great about this, BTW).
Finally, its time for hubby (me) to go to pick up our thanksgiving dinner from Publix for tomorrow - turkey and all the fixin's. Wife - "Have a bell hop help you with all that stuff"...Me - "Don't worry, I can get it all".....As I was crossing from the BCV self park area to the bridge over the canal near the BCV bus stops, the box holding my turkey and fixin's gave way, scattering our Thanksgiving dinner over the road. While I was able to salvage most of the items, the gravy and cranberry relish containers had collided in mid-air, bursting upon impact. I gathered up the rest of the groceries and lugged the remains up to our room.
So.....for those of you returning from the parks to BCV this afternoon.... no, that was not, as you probably imagined, the aftermath of a particularly violent bout of sickness (although there is nothing quite like the sight of a puddle of congealed gravy with cranberry relish speckled throughout to give the imagination a workout)...that was just our turkey dinner.
