wanna trade SW travel funds?

Hope this is Ok to post since tech not selling anything. OK if it is deleated.

I have $130 in Travel funds that expire Aug.8th. I really need to get in on the 48 hour sale ( would save a ton) but I can not use the travel funds since I am flying in Oct. They need to expire before I can extend them. DH is driving with 5 teenagers and DD and I would like to fly since they are driving all night. I can not do that,drive all day, yes, but not all night.

I don't want to purchase and get more travel funds since we do not plan on flying again and those funds are a part of my budget, can't go over.

Anyone out there think they can do this? I really need $60 each way, air out of SDF is expensive now days.

You're not going to find a person who has TTF, needs to fly in a few weeks, hasn't yet made a reservation and is willing to give up flexibility if his plans change. You're certainly not going to find someone on DIS that meets that criteria.

A person who buys your credits is going to want a discount. You may get more then the $60 the pp suggested but I doubt you'll get the $120 you're looking for.

Look at it this way. I'm booking a flight a couple of weeks in advance. I may be paying full fare and will get a cash refund if my plans change. Why would I want to buy (or swap) your TTF and be out the money if my plans change? Why convert a fully refundable fare to a partially refundable fare? Only makes sense if I'm buying your TTF at a discount. Check Craigslist and see what TTF are going for. You're better off selling it to someone you know, ebay has been pulling auctions--not sure about craigslist.

I may not get $130 and if I wait till Aug. 8th then I will loose $50 right then to extend. Also my fair will go way up and the best ding I have seen for a while out of SDF is $79 each way. I am looking at $60 each way with the sale.

I know this is a long shot but you can't say I did not try.

You think you'll save $38 on airfare and the $50 extension fee ($88) if you book now. Book now and sell your credits. You can sell your credits at almost half price and still come out ahead.

I reallly don't know how to do that. I would love to sell them just would not know how to start and I am running out of time. I am not very good at this kind of stuff and have only flown 3x's in my life.

I did check craigslist for the state of KY and did not find anything. One person wants to trade 2 buddy passes for somthing, no money just a trade. What do you think he wants to trade for or what kind of amount would he be talking about.
