On our way back to So Cal from Laughlin last Wednesday (left at night so the kiddos would sleep), started feeling sick. By the time we reached Barstow 1/2 way, I was running from the car to our trailer and laid in there and ran back and forth to the toilet the rest of the way back. Got back home around 2:30 AM and couldn't stop it from coming out from either end. As I layed on my cold bathroom floor, DH told me to take some Pepto Bismal and he went to sleep...Helloooo, that ain't gonna work if it won't stay on the inside of me. If I had enough energy to crawl over to the bed I would have shoved his plillow down his throat and told him to take some Pepto... :lmao: Finally after begging him to just call me an ambulance so he could stay with the kids and get some rest :furious: , he gave in at about 4:30AM, called his Mom to watch the kids and took me in. It was the WORST flu I ever had. They gave 2 liter of fluids because I was so dehydrated.
Needless to say every stinkin kid (metaphorically and literally) got it too ages 6,8,3,and 2. I don't think I've ever done so many loads of laundry but the best part was my DH finally got it on Fri and what do you know... he didn't want any Pepto Bismal either. He took my last anti nausea pill and promptly threw that up. (Thanks :confused3 a lot) He tried to sleep all day the next day but with 4 kids making many (an unmentionable) messes, he had to get his butt out of bed in the afternoon and help and with little sympathy from me, I might add. I hope everyone else had a less messy and fragrant Spring Break!!! Amy :sunny:
(Thank Goodness Spring Break is over!! I don't think I could have taken more of it!!)

Amy, I hope that you and the kids are feeling better very soon.

I have a 9 mo old with that same virus!!! I called today and apparently that stomach thing is spreading like (fill in the blanks b/c I say wildflowers but I know there was a post about phrases!! wildfire?)

Anyway, I'm glad your Dh was struck with it b/c my dh always manages to miss the horrible viruses that we get. (please don't think I wish ill upon him...i just like when a spouse gets a taste of reality).

Good luck. I hope you had a wonderful break.

The saga continues....Got woken up at 4:30 this morning to the lovely and unmistakable sound of my 2 year old starting to barf on our bed. This is the 2nd night in a row. Poor little thing. I think she's starting to cringe everytime I go to change her diaper because I've been slipping some meds in real fast in a place she's pretty positive things aren't supposed to be slipped.
My 2 oldest have the "we don't want to go to school" flu. They are fine until it's time to get up in the morning or after they ate dinner and realize that they shouldn't have had seconds if they were really that sick! With my luck, they really are still sick and will prove it to me either in
1.my bed
2.their beds
3.the rental car from the dealer
4.on me or
5.the 5 sq ft of carpet that we don't have hard wood flooring.
Time to change the laundry so I can put a clean sheet on my bed..Amy :cool1:
ETA: I forgot to say that after I got all the sheets and blankets off the bed and started the washing machine my DH found a pillow case I missed and went to put it into the wash and found the remote for our bedroom TV floating on top. I'm trying to save it on extra low heat in the oven...It's not even 6:00 AM here yet.
